\nBank of Baroda Tanzania Limited is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacancy.<\/p>\n
Position title
\nDesignation:\u00a0Principal Officer Bancassurance<\/p>\n
Job purpose
\nTo lead and grow the bank\u2019s bancassurance business by driving sales, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with insurance partners while delivering high-quality and ethical customer service.<\/p>\n
Key duties and responsibilities<\/p>\n
Lead and manage all bancassurance activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and ethical standards.<\/p>\n
Implement strategies to achieve sales targets and grow the bancassurance business.<\/p>\n
Oversee agency agreements, negotiate commissions, and manage relationships with insurance partners.<\/p>\n
Manage life and non-life products, including claims processing within agreed timelines.<\/p>\n
Act as the main link between the bank, insurance companies, and customers.<\/p>\n
Support and drive sales across branches, including client onboarding and retention.<\/p>\n
Ensure high-quality customer service and ethical business practices.<\/p>\n
Maintain compliance with regulatory bodies (TIRA and Bank of Tanzania) and submit required reports.<\/p>\n
Coordinate financial, audit, and tax matters related to bancassurance.<\/p>\n
Train staff, identify knowledge gaps, and support marketing initiatives.<\/p>\n
Build strong relationships with regulators and stay updated on industry changes.<\/p>\n
Perform any additional duties assigned by management.<\/p>\n
To ensure that assigned target is achieved.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and experience required<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Insurance and Risk Management.<\/p>\n
Candidate shall have minimum of 2 years of working experience in insurance operating in Tanzania.<\/p>\n
Candidates having Master\u2019s or higher degree and having required or higher experience with any commercial bank operating in Tanzania will be given preference.<\/p>\n
Working knowledge of insurance legislation and regulations.<\/p>\n
Certificate of proficiency in Insurance from recognized college or Institution.<\/p>\n
