Operating\u00a0three schools from nursery to secondary levels, we offer both Tanzanian and International curricula (Cambridge, IB).\u00a0With roots dating back to 1905, AKES,T continues to equip students with essential life skills for an increasingly globalized and technologically advanced world.\u00a0Position Summary<br \/>\nThe\u00a0Human Resources Manager\u00a0serves as a strategic partner and operational leader within AKES,T. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of people management, ensuring the institution attracts, develops, and retains high-caliber talent\u2014particularly strong local professionals and educators. You will drive long-term institutional goals by fostering a culture of excellence, care, and continuous improvement.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Develop and execute an HR roadmap aligned with the school\u2019s mission, growth plans, and academic vision.<br \/>\n\u00a0Identify critical positions and lead the implementation of succession planning frameworks to ensure leadership continuity.<br \/>\n\u00a0Actively contribute to AKS-wide HR initiatives (e.g., HRIS implementation, compensation frameworks) and lead their local execution.<br \/>\n\u00a0Lead initiatives to ensure staffing meets current and future institutional needs, including new campus expansions and digital transformation.<br \/>\nServe as a trusted advisor to the Board and Senior Management on change management and organizational design.<br \/>\nAnalyze and provide recommendations on expatriate staff management, cost implications, and localization strategies.<br \/>\n\u00a0Oversee end-to-end recruitment for faculty and staff, ensuring rigorous due diligence<br \/>\n\u00a0Collaborate with the Academic\u00a0team and Senior Management to improve the PD strategy, ensuring it aligns with workforce capability needs.<br \/>\n\u00a0Lead talent development pathways for local staff to assume future leadership roles within the AKDN network.<br \/>\nSupport initiatives to attract top-tier talent and enhance the school\u2019s reputation as an employer of choice.<br \/>\n\u00a0Oversee the administration of insurance benefits, ensuring policy compliance, cost-effectiveness, and employee awareness.<br \/>\n\u00a0Implement consistent, fair, and rigorous appraisal cycles and mentoring programs to address performance challenges.<br \/>\n\u00a0Manage the HR Information System, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and the provision of analytic data for\u00a0decision-making.<br \/>\n\u00a0Oversee payroll reconciliation and the administration of leave programs and wellness initiatives.<br \/>\nEnsure 100% adherence to Tanzanian Labour Laws, education regulatory requirements, and international standards.<br \/>\n\u00a0Oversee safeguarding matters with adult implications, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and risk mitigation.<br \/>\nCoordinate internal and external audits, ensuring HR compliance and timely completion of audit action plans.<br \/>\n\u00a0Lead the organization in ensuring compliance with Data Protection and Privacy regulations.<br \/>\n\u00a0Serve as Secretary to the Human Resources Committee of the Board, preparing documentation and tracking action items.<\/p>\n<p>The requirements<br \/>\nPosition Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in HRM, Business Administration, or Education Management; Master\u2019s degree and\/or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, PHRi) strongly preferred.<br \/>\n\u00a08\u201310 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a senior HR leadership role.<br \/>\n\u00a0Demonstrated experience in the education sector or professional service environments is highly desirable.<br \/>\n\u00a0Mastery of Tanzanian Labour Laws and best practices.<br \/>\nProficiency in HRIS, Data Analytics, and Microsoft Office Suite.<br \/>\n\u00a0Proven ability to lead in multicultural and international settings.<br \/>\n\u00a0Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills.<br \/>\n\u00a0A collaborative leader who builds trust and demonstrates integrity.<br \/>\nAbility to think systemically and drive improvements through HR innovation.<br \/>\n\u00a0Deep commitment to education, people development, and community impact.<br \/>\nStrong business acumen with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.<\/p>\n<p>Qualified candidates are invited to submit their application, including a detailed cover letter and CV,<br \/>\nDeadline:\u00a015th May 2026<br \/>\nOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p>Sector<br \/>\nSocial Development<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
