\nRoster: 6 Weeks On \/ 3 Weeks Off
\nRole Purpose:
\nThis role is responsible for ensuring that all asset protection requirements are effectively implemented while supporting safe, secure, and efficient operations. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in operational planning, risk management, intelligence coordination, and team supervision.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nOperations & Security Oversight<\/p>\n
Oversee day-to-day asset protection operations across site<\/p>\n
Ensure all security posts are staffed according to risk profiles<\/p>\n
Monitor compliance with SOPs, post orders, and company policies<\/p>\n
Coordinate rapid response and emergency preparedness functions<\/p>\n
Leadership & Team Management<\/p>\n
Provide leadership and coaching to Coordinators, Team Leaders, and Officers<\/p>\n
Manage departmental rosters and leave planning<\/p>\n
Oversee performance appraisals and staff development<\/p>\n
Ensure proper induction and ongoing training of personnel<\/p>\n
Reporting & Intelligence<\/p>\n
Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports<\/p>\n
Gather and analyse intelligence to mitigate risks<\/p>\n
Advise management on emerging security trends and threats<\/p>\n
Ensure timely communication of critical information<\/p>\n
Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
Ensure adherence to company policies, security standards, and legal requirements<\/p>\n
Represent the company in engagements with government authorities and stakeholders<\/p>\n
Promote awareness of security procedures among employees and contractors<\/p>\n
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)<\/p>\n
Champion a strong safety culture across the department<\/p>\n
Participate in safety committees and HSE initiatives<\/p>\n
Ensure alignment with corporate safety objectives<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications:<\/p>\n
Certificate of Secondary Education (O-Level or A-Level)<\/p>\n
Formal qualification in Policing or equivalent<\/p>\n
Certificate\/Diploma in Security and Risk Management<\/p>\n
Knowledge of Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights<\/p>\n
Basic IT certification or equivalent<\/p>\n
Valid driving licence<\/p>\n
Required Experience & Skills:<\/p>\n
Minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in asset protection\/security (mining or policing environment)<\/p>\n
Proven experience in rapid response, crowd control, and labour conflict management<\/p>\n
Strong understanding of risk management principles<\/p>\n
High computer literacy (MS Word, Excel)<\/p>\n
Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili<\/p>\n
