Our vision is \u201cto be the leading bank in Tanzania in the provision of affordable, accessible and convenient financial services.\u201d As part of organizational development and effective management of its human capital, Tanzania Commercial Bank commits itself to attaining, retaining, and developing a highly capable and qualified workforce for the betterment of the Bank and the Nation at large.<\/p>\n<p>Position objective<br \/>\nThe position holder will be responsible for driving the creation of trade finance solutions to clients including Government, Corporate, Institutions, and other business segments in the areas of trade-structured solutions.<br \/>\nKey responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Enhance and promote trade finance business volumes and revenues for the assigned portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>Achieve targeted goals (trade finance funded &amp; non-funded) as per budgeted growth for volume and revenues.<\/p>\n<p>Enhance utilization against limits of every client relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate with business lines and relationship managers on the development of trade finance business and generate new business from the portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>Utilize trade finance products and structured solutions as tools for enhancing overall yield from each client relationship under management.<\/p>\n<p>Enhance client awareness and experience by conducting regular client calls from a trade finance perspective.<\/p>\n<p>Conduct joint calls with relationship managers to ensure joint sales goals are met, new revenue opportunities are identified, and client needs are assessed earlier than the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Obtain customer and market feedback on products and competition.<\/p>\n<p>Enhance client awareness and experience by arranging trade finance seminars and training.<\/p>\n<p>Act as a solution provider, working closely with other related departments for effective coordination and communication, ensuring smooth business activities for clients and improving turnaround time of trade finance transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Introduce new trade finance products and solutions to clients.<\/p>\n<p>Cross-sell other products and refer new business opportunities to other business lines.<\/p>\n<p>Provide feedback to management for future action and improvements in trade finance service and product requirements in relation to market needs.<\/p>\n<p>Recruit and manage a portfolio of financial institutions that facilitate trade transactions.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications, skills &amp; experience<\/p>\n<p>Education:\u00a0Holder of a Master\u2019s degree in one of the following fields: Business Administration, Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.<\/p>\n<p>Experience:\u00a0At least sixteen (16) years of working experience in the banking industry or a financial institution.<\/p>\n<p>Good knowledge of trade finance and liaison operations with Government.<\/p>\n<p>High level of integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Excellent communication and report writing skills.<\/p>\n<p>Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.<\/p>\n<p>Personable and able to relate to people at all levels.<\/p>\n<p>Personal attributes and behavioral competencies<br \/>\nThe candidate must demonstrate Tanzania Commercial Bank\u2019s core values:<\/p>\n<p>Customer focus<\/p>\n<p>Trustworthiness<\/p>\n<p>Creativity<\/p>\n<p>Teamwork<\/p>\n<p>Excellence<\/p>\n<p>Additional attributes include:<\/p>\n<p>Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>Ability to work quickly, accurately, and consistently under pressure.<\/p>\n<p>A methodical and well-organized approach to work.<\/p>\n<p>Mature and able to work in a confidential environment.<\/p>\n<p>Sound judgment, common sense, and good humor.<\/p>\n<p>Strong leadership and people management skills.<\/p>\n<p>Strong skills in managing an SME portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>Prioritizes tasks.<\/p>\n<p>Team player.<\/p>\n<p>Proven leadership skills (must have managerial experience in operations and\/or credit).<\/p>\n<p>Very strong business acumen with ability to grow business.<\/p>\n<p>Ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>Self-drive with a results-oriented mindset.<\/p>\n<p>Remuneration<br \/>\nThe position will attract a competitive salary package and benefits.<br \/>\nApplication instructions<br \/>\nApplicants are invited to submit their resume via the following link only:<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/www.tcbbank.co.tz\/recruitment\/<br \/>\nApplications via other methods will not be considered.<br \/>\nApplicants need to fill in their personal information, academic certificates, work experiences, and application letter.
