\nBoiler Maker
\nLocation:\u00a0Geita Gold Mine, Geita
\nPosition purpose
\nThis position is responsible for manufacturing, fabrication and repair of metal structures\/objects as guided by your immediate supervisor and trainer.
\nDuties and responsibilities<\/p>\n
Complies with all HS&E policies, procedures and instructions. This includes the correct use of safety devices and protective equipment, prompt reporting of any hazardous situations, which they cannot themselves correct, making the necessary changes to eliminate or control the hazard and reporting immediately any accident or injury which arises in the course of their work.
\nComplies with all company policies and procedures that are displayed and amended from time to time.
\nTakes reasonable care for their own safety and that of other persons who may be affected by their acts.
\nPerforms pre-start checks and SWICs.
\nEnsuring inspections and maintenance is carried out on all equipment before use.
\nMust Work to minimise equipment downtime and maximise productivity.
\nMaintains a high standard of housekeeping.
\nWeld repairs to machinery, buckets and frames
\nBuilding structure items for workshop and mining e.g. Doors, Lock up areas, stands, brackets
\nUse of Air Arc, Oxy Acetylene, grinders, drills etc.
\nDesigning of structural items.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements<\/p>\n
Good welding (Arc and Mig) skills.
\nAt least 2 years post apprenticeship experience.
\nGood knowledge of cutting, design and finish skill on metal fabrication
\nExcellent service and maintenance approach to the job.
\nWillingness to learn to improve skills and gain further experience on welding.
\nBasic First Aid.
\nValid Tanzanian Driver\u2019s License.
\nCompleted secondary school.
\nPost trade skills.
\nBasic numeracy and verbal\/written English.<\/p>\n
