Role Overview
\nThe Assistant Concession Manager will support the Concession Manager in overseeing the Wildlife Management Area and ensuring that operations align with the company\u2019s vision, mission, and\u00a0TAWA guidelines.
\nThe role involves maintaining infrastructure, monitoring data, coordinating with TAWA, and working closely with the Community Development Manager to engage local communities. The successful candidate must also be capable of taking over the Concession Manager\u2019s responsibilities when required.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nThe Assistant Concession Manager will be responsible for the following duties:<\/p>\n
Advise management on securing, protecting, and maintaining company concessions and assets.
\nProvide guidance on relationships between the company, government institutions, and the general public.
\nServe as a liaison to manage communication between the company, authorities, and communities.
\nIdentify potential conflicts or threats and recommend appropriate solutions.
\nDevelop strategies to strengthen cooperation with government institutions and the public for smooth operations.
\nAssist in obtaining permits and licenses and ensure compliance for business activities.
\nEnsure projects are completed on time and within budget, and that contractors meet agreed terms.
\nMaintain strong working relationships with\u00a0TAWA, NCAA, TANAPA, and other partners while promoting trust and collaboration.
\nGuide research priorities, integrate findings into management plans, and support community development through project planning, funding, and evaluation.<\/p>\n
Professional and Interpersonal Requirements
\nEducation
\nApplicants should have:<\/p>\n
A Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Wildlife or a related field.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office.
\nBasic knowledge of Google Suite.<\/p>\n
Experience and Skills
\nApplicants should possess:<\/p>\n
A minimum of 5 years of experience in wildlife management.
\nKnowledge of Tanzanian hunting and conservation laws.
\nStrong leadership skills.
\nStrong communication skills.
\nStrong organizational skills.
\nAbility to work under pressure, including after hours and weekends.
\nGIS experience will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
