\nUmodzi Microfinance Limited is hiring an IT Officer to join its team. The organization is seeking a principled IT professional who can provide timely and professional IT support at the Head Office while also offering dedicated support to field staff.
\nThe IT Officer will be responsible for coordinating the implementation and maintenance of IT operations, projects, and programs. The role also involves ensuring that IT services are aligned with business needs and comply with established project management principles and best management practices.<\/p>\n
Key responsibilities
\nThe IT Officer will be responsible for the following duties:<\/p>\n
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software components, including computers, desktops, phones, and peripherals.
\nProvide technical support to employees on hardware and software issues, both in person and remotely.
\nResolve IT-related problems in a timely manner.
\nAssist in the management of user accounts and access permissions, including creating, modifying, and deleting accounts as needed.
\nMonitor system performance and assist in troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
\nAssist in the implementation and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.
\nAssist in documenting IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and skills
\nApplicants should have the following qualifications and skills:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
\nAt least 2 years of previous experience in an IT support role, preferably in the financial services industry.
\nKnowledge of IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, and security protocols.
\nFamiliarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
\nFamiliarity with productivity software such as Microsoft Office.
\nAwareness of IT security best practices and technologies.
\nStrong problem-solving skills.
\nGood attention to detail.<\/p>\n
