What you\u2019ll do<\/p>\n
Role purpose:\u00a0
\nMerchant Analyst will be responsible for extracting, analysing, and reporting merchant and channel performance data to support business decision-making. This role ensures accurate KPI tracking, provides commercial insights, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive growth and efficiency.
\nKey accountabilities and decision ownership:\u00a0
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Own the design, execution, and optimization of SQL queries and BI reports to ensure robust data extraction and analysis.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Guarantee accuracy and timeliness of merchant performance dashboards and KPIs to support business decision\u2011making.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Translate data into actionable insights that influence commercial strategies and drive business growth.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Manage reporting processes for merchant acquisition channels, commissions, payouts, and post\u2011campaign analysis.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Oversee reward and recognition program reporting while collaborating with MIS and stakeholders to resolve data issues effectively
\nCore competencies, knowledge and experience
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Strong analytical thinking and problem\u2011solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Advanced SQL expertise for query optimization and data extraction across multiple sources.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Proven ability to design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Commercial acumen and business\u2011oriented mindset to identify opportunities, performance gaps, and customer value drivers.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Effective communication and collaboration skills to convey insights, resolve data issues, and support business cases.
\nMust have technical \/ professional qualifications:\u00a0
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Statistics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Data Science, Economics, or related field.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Advanced SQL skills with query optimization expertise.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Solid grounding in data visualization and reporting best practices.
\n\u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0Desirable: Knowledge of Python\/R for advanced analytics and ETL\/data warehousing processes.<\/p>\n
