\nJob Responsibilities
\nThe Assistant Night Audit will support the hotel\u2019s night audit operations, front office activities, revenue control, and guest service functions during night shifts. The role requires accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure.
\nNight Audit and Financial Reporting<\/p>\n
Assist in conducting night audit procedures and balancing daily transactions.
\nVerify guest accounts, room charges, cashier reports, and payment postings.
\nReconcile all revenue outlets, including:<\/p>\n
Rooms
\nFood and Beverage
\nMinibar
\nBanquets<\/p>\n
Prepare and generate daily revenue, cashier, and financial reports for management review.
\nAssist in monitoring cash handling, credit card transactions, and billing accuracy.
\nEnsure proper posting of all charges and corrections in the PMS system, such as Opera.
\nProcess no-shows, late charges, and adjustment postings where necessary.
\nIdentify and report any revenue discrepancies or posting errors.
\nAssist in verifying audit trail documents for revenue control and compliance checks.
\nSupport credit control by reviewing guest balances and credit limits when required.
\nAssist in checking house bank floats and petty cash reconciliation.
\nEnsure all system closures are completed correctly at the end of the audit process.<\/p>\n
Front Office and Guest Service Support<\/p>\n
Support front office operations during night shifts.
\nHandle guest check-ins, check-outs, and room requests professionally.
\nRespond to guest inquiries, complaints, and emergencies promptly and professionally.
\nVerify room status, occupancy reports, and room availability.
\nAssist with room allocation control and audit of house status reports.
\nManage late arrivals, early departures, and room changes efficiently.
\nSupport wake-up call services and guest transportation arrangements.
\nAssist in handling lost and found items according to hotel procedures.<\/p>\n
Operations, Safety, and Compliance<\/p>\n
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and operational activities.
\nEnsure compliance with hotel policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, and financial procedures.
\nCoordinate closely with housekeeping, security, engineering, and maintenance teams.
\nAssist in preparing shift handover reports and detailed operational updates.
\nMonitor lobby activity and ensure a professional and secure guest environment.
\nEnsure confidentiality of all guest, financial, and hotel operational information.
\nEnsure compliance with health, safety, fire, and hygiene regulations.
\nSupport emergency response procedures, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and disturbances.
\nSupport the Night Auditor and management in any additional operational or financial duties assigned.
\nParticipate in daily briefings and contribute operational improvement suggestions.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience
\nApplicants should meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Finance or a related field.
\nMinimum of 3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in hotel operations, front office, night audit, or finance within a hospitality environment.
\nPrevious supervisory or leadership experience is an added advantage.
\nKnowledge of hotel PMS systems such as Opera.
\nStrong communication and leadership skills.
\nExcellent customer service and guest relations skills.
\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
\nAbility to work calmly under pressure and during emergencies.
\nTeam management and coordination skills.
\nGood financial reporting and auditing knowledge.
\nFlexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
\nProfessional appearance and positive attitude.<\/p>\n
