Revolving Fund Officer
\nJob Purpose
\nThe Revolving Fund Officer will oversee the design, management, and implementation of revolving fund activities within the company\u2019s program. The role will ensure transparent, strategic, and accountable management of revolving funds disbursed to women, youth groups, and cooperatives in program target areas.
\nResponsibilities
\nRevolving Fund Management
\nThe Revolving Fund Officer will be responsible for establishing and managing effective systems for revolving fund operations. Key duties include:<\/p>\n
Developing and managing revolving fund frameworks, guidelines, and processes.
\nCoordinating startup funding application and selection processes.
\nManaging the disbursement, monitoring, and accountability of revolving funds.
\nEnsuring transparent and compliant revolving fund management systems.<\/p>\n
Entrepreneurs Assessment and Due Diligence
\nThe officer will support the assessment and evaluation of entrepreneurs and business groups to ensure funds are allocated responsibly and strategically. Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Conducting entrepreneurs\u2019 business assessments and evaluations.
\nReviewing business models, financial projections, and growth potential.
\nSupporting due diligence processes for interest-free loans.<\/p>\n
Startup Financial Support
\nThe role will provide practical financial guidance to entrepreneurs and businesses receiving or seeking support. Duties include:<\/p>\n
Providing financial advisory and investment readiness support to businesses.
\nGuiding entrepreneurs on financial planning, sustainability, and scaling strategies.
\nSupporting entrepreneurs in preparing loan proposals.<\/p>\n
Partnership and Resource Mobilization<\/p>\n
The Revolving Fund Officer will contribute to building strong partnerships that support startup financing and investment initiatives. Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Building relationships with investors, donors, financial institutions, and partners.
\nIdentifying opportunities for co-investment and startup financing partnerships.
\nSupporting fundraising for investment and startup support initiatives.<\/p>\n
Monitoring, Reporting and Learning
\nThe officer will track the performance, utilization, and impact of funded entrepreneurs and groups. Duties include:<\/p>\n
Tracking entrepreneurs\u2019 funding performance and utilization.
\nMonitoring entrepreneurs\u2019 impact and growth outcomes.
\nPreparing financial and impact reports for management and partners.<\/p>\n
Requirements
\nApplicants should meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Community Development, Development Planning and Management, Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
\nMinimum of 2\u20133 years of experience in investment management, startup financing, venture support, or SME financing.
\nExperience working with startups, innovation hubs, accelerators, or entrepreneurship programs is highly desirable.<\/p>\n
Skills Required
\nThe ideal candidate should have strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, including:<\/p>\n
Financial analysis and planning.
\nCommunication and presentation skills.
\nComputer application skills.
\nInvestment analysis and capital markets knowledge.<\/p>\n
