\nPurpose of the Role
\nTabono, on behalf of its client, is looking for a dynamic\u00a0Branch Manager\u00a0who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of travel retail operations at\u00a0Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA).
\nThe successful candidate will oversee branch performance, lead the team, ensure excellent customer service, manage operations, and support the achievement of commercial and budget targets.
\nThis role is\u00a0open to non-Tanzanian East African Community (EAC) nationals.
\nKey Outputs
\nThe Branch Manager will be expected to:<\/p>\n
Lead an engaged team to ensure the overall effective performance of the branch.
\nFocus on improving branch economics by maximizing platform contribution and delivering annual budget targets.
\nEnsure excellence in customer service.
\nOrganize the team\u2019s work effectively.
\nImprove the quality of team capabilities.
\nSupport the profitability of the branch.
\nManage administrative and accounting duties.
\nEnsure adequate product ranges and stock availability to optimize sales performance.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities
\nField staff management
\nThe Branch Manager will be responsible for leading and managing field staff to ensure smooth branch operations. Key duties include:<\/p>\n
Providing leadership to staff and ensuring high standards of customer service are delivered to both internal and external stakeholders.
\nOrganizing field staff planning in coordination with Assistant Managers.
\nMaintaining a team capable of producing the required outputs.
\nLeading the team so that staff remain fully engaged and collaborate effectively toward set goals.
\nCarrying out team evaluations according to the procedures provided by the Operations Manager.
\nProposing professional growth and development opportunities for team members.<\/p>\n
Operations and commercial approach
\nThe Branch Manager will oversee operational efficiency and commercial performance at the branch. Responsibilities include:<\/p>\n
Improving operational productivity and quality toward excellence.
\nEnsuring high standards in customer service, product knowledge, advisory support, branch presentation, and staff presentation.
\nControlling the proper implementation of processes by the team.
\nOrganizing regular inventories.
\nOrganizing and ensuring the proper implementation of commercial activities.
\nEnsuring respect for merchandising standards.
\nMaintaining cleanliness of the branch.
\nExercising constant vigilance on markdowns.<\/p>\n
Administrative and accounting duties
\nThe Branch Manager will also manage key administrative and accounting functions, including:<\/p>\n
Monitoring shop and administrative supplies and ordering them as needed.
\nMonitoring cash and currency availability.
\nConducting daily counts of cash collected.
\nReporting daily cash collections to the central accounting team.
\nPreparing cash for cash collectors or the bank.<\/p>\n
Candidate Profile
\nThe ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:<\/p>\n
Strong autonomy, sense of responsibility, and proactivity.
\nStrong interpersonal skills.
\nDemonstrable leadership abilities.
\nPrevious retail operations supervision experience.
\nComputer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office.
\nFluency in English.
\nAt least a Bachelor\u2019s Degree.
\nMust be East African.
\nAt least two years of significant experience in managing teams.
\nExperience in branch management will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
