\nUn Lodge en Afrique Ltd is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the finance and accounting department. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Senior Accountant and assist with daily bookkeeping, account reconciliations, invoice processing, audit support, documentation filing, and other accounting-related duties.
\nKey responsibilities
\nThe Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the following duties:<\/p>\n
Perform daily bookkeeping in accordance with the rules and procedures in place.
\nReview accounts payable bookings and follow up on EFD invoices for purchases.
\nReview cash movements in QuickBooks Online and bank cash movements.
\nPrepare, book, and fiscalize sales invoices three times per month with support from the Reservations Department.
\nFollow up and book specific projects, including CAPEX.
\nCarry out various reconciliations, including:<\/p>\n
Bank reconciliations
\nWithholding tax reconciliations
\nImprest and advance reconciliations
\nPrepayment reconciliations
\nAccounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations
\nVAT reconciliations<\/p>\n
Support internal and external audits.
\nAssist management with daily accounting and administrative tasks.
\nMaintain and file accounting documentation properly.
\nPerform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n
Required skills and qualifications
\nApplicants should have the following skills and qualifications:<\/p>\n
Accounting training.
\nKnowledge and experience using accounting systems, especially QuickBooks Online.
\nGood written and spoken communication skills.
\nFluency in English and Swahili.
\nAbility to work as part of a team.
\nFlexibility and willingness to support different accounting tasks.
\nGood working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.<\/p>\n
