\nPosition Overview
\nThe Field Technician owns technical operations and technical issues at the assigned cohort. The role is mainly responsible for maintaining reliable technical operations at hubs in the region to ensure hub uptime.
\nAccountabilities
\nThe Field Technician will be responsible for the following key accountabilities:<\/p>\n
Own and manage energy uptime in the cluster to a minimum of 99.9% by ensuring all energy systems are performing as expected and all necessary interventions are planned.
\nEnsure packs go through troubleshooting and repair to maintain 98% pack health, with only 2% allowed to be defective at any given time.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities
\nThe Field Technician will perform the following duties:<\/p>\n
Constantly monitor hub energy in the region to prevent downtime, including time spent in the danger zone.
\nTroubleshoot defective packs in the region to ensure that less than 2% of packs are in a defective state.
\nEnsure data is collected and logged correctly.
\nMonitor Swap% and PV% at all hubs in the region and escalate hubs with more than 80%.
\nComplete hub commissioning and testing, and provide sign-off for hub go-live.
\nSet up hub phones and hub controllers.
\nMaintain accurate records of hub data in the dashboard.
\nAccurately file, respond to, update, and escalate technical issues in GitLab.
\nRemotely troubleshoot and resolve hub performance issues.
\nTravel to hubs to resolve issues that require in-person troubleshooting or repairs.
\nPerform routine hub energy system maintenance.
\nEnsure connectivity at hubs.
\nMonitor and review technical reports.
\nTest, troubleshoot, and repair defective products.
\nKeep accurate records of hub equipment and product component inventory, including defects.
\nCommunicate technical issues to the Regional Coordinator.
\nMaintain an up-to-date understanding of the roles and technologies of the Field Technician position through the Jaza Tech Handbook.
\nTest new products and firmware as needed.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Requirements
\nApplicants should meet the following qualifications and requirements:<\/p>\n
Diploma or Degree in Renewable Energy Engineering and\/or Electrical Engineering.
\nPrior experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electronic devices or systems is highly desirable.
\nFamiliarity with diagnostic tools, software, and data analysis applications to support effective monitoring and issue resolution.
\nAbility to analyze technical problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
\nClear and concise written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, reporting issues, and documenting processes.
\nWillingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
\nAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative in a dynamic environment.
\nAbility to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support team goals.<\/p>\n
