\nJob Summary
\nThe National Director (ND) leads the Member Association (MA) of SOS Children\u2019s Villages in Tanzania and Zanzibar, ensuring the organization\u2019s overall direction, operations, and performance. The ND is responsible for developing and executing strategies for both programs and financial sustainability, aligning them with the organization\u2019s vision, mission, and values.
\nThe ND will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the Board of Directors for MA Tanzania and MA Zanzibar, the International Director Region (IDR), the CVI Representative, Regional Office Functional Directors, and Advisors.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nStrategic Direction and Governance<\/p>\n
Establish and direct strategic plans to advance the mission and objectives of the MA in Tanzania and Zanzibar.
\nEnsure adherence to corporate governance principles and statutory requirements.
\nOversee the implementation of strategies, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting of progress.
\nLead by example in ethics and morals, addressing any non-adherence to values, ethics, and codes.<\/p>\n
Sustainability and Fund Development<\/p>\n
Develop and implement effective fundraising plans to ensure long-term sustainability.
\nManage the MA\u2019s financial resources, reviewing financial reports to ensure effective cost control.
\nOversee the development and implementation of realistic and effective fund development strategies.<\/p>\n
Marketing and Brand Awareness<\/p>\n
Guide the MA\u2019s marketing, branding, and communications strategies.
\nMaintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimize initiatives and improve service delivery.<\/p>\n
Strategic Relationship Management<\/p>\n
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to ensure support for SOS CVI\u2019s objectives.
\nRepresent SOS CVI to provincial and national governments and other relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n
People Management and Development<\/p>\n
Oversee recruitment, orientation, performance management, and development of national office management staff.
\nEnsure stable employee relations and foster a positive work environment.<\/p>\n
Child Safeguarding (CS)<\/p>\n
Implement and manage SOS CVI\u2019s Child Protection Policy.
\nEnsure compliance with child safeguarding standards and report any concerns regarding child safety.<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications<\/p>\n
A degree in Social Sciences, Business, or a related field; a Master\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Education, or Social Sciences is preferred.
\nAt least 10 years of experience in senior management, with at least 2 years as a National Director, Managing Director, or CEO.
\nStrong understanding of child rights, child development, family and community development, and advocacy.
\nFluency in both English and Swahili is required.
\nValid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
