This is a skilled Electrical engineering site based position responsible for the technical development and execution of 100 MW solar power project. It includes late stage development leading up to construction, review of contractor designs and monitoring of construction progress to ensure EPC Contractor compliance with the Contract.
\nLocation: This position is based at Maamba, Zambia site. (Maamba Energy Limited)
\nJob Description:
\n10 Years, at least 3 years experience related to execution of Ground mounted Solar Projects in MW scale.<\/p>\n
Responsible for project management and monitoring of site construction activities as per project execution plan.
\nCo-ordinate with EPC Contractor\/Execution Agencies for smooth execution of work at site.
\nJoint inspection of material receipts at site by respective EPC Contractor and certify the same.
\nMonitor the construction, testing and commissioning of the ground mounted solar power plant facility including 330KV transmission system.
\nVerify and certify running bills raised by EPC Contractor\/Execution Agencies as per actual site work progress.
\nImplementation of the industrial standards, quality, Health & Safety Norms (HSE Guidelines).
\nReview of project planning, scheduling and monthly progress reports.
\nConduct daily\/weekly\/monthly meeting at site with EPC Contractor\/Execution Agencies to monitor site execution work, progress & submission of site progress report to HO, i.e. overall site work monitoring.
\nCo-ordinate\/liaison with Government\/local authorities as per requirement.
\nResponsible for execution of work as per Quality Control plan and Safety Plan.
\nCoordinate with civil engineers, mechanical\/ Electrical engineers of Contractors to ensure project is delivered as per technical specification and compliance.
\nMaking sure all electrical works are as per drawings & schedule.
\nResponsible for verifying quality of electrical equipment like PV module, invertor, transformer, HT\/LT Panels, cables\/conductors, Balance of plant equipment etc.
\nVerify compliance of solar panels, inverters and balance of system equipment with applicable specifications and accredited testing lab reports.<\/p>\n
Desired Candidate Profile<\/p>\n
Qualification \u2013 B.Tech\/BE \u2013 Electrical Engineering
\n10+ years\u2019 experience. (330KV\/400Kv Transmission system, Ground mount solar power projects)
\nAwareness and understanding EPC and O&M agreements (Solar projects).
\nAwareness and understanding of the relevant technical codes, regulations and standards relating to the development of renewable energy projects in South Arica countries.
\nExperience of the application and understanding of the guidelines and specifications relevant to Electrical engineering in South Africa countries.
\nRequires an organised approach to working, task prioritisation and time management.
\nAwareness and understanding of the relevant technical codes, regulations and standards relating to the development of Solar power projects.
\nTake ownership of meeting deadlines and drive tasks to completion
\nStrong initiative and the ability to proactively identify required tasks.
\nAble to work independently and in groups
\nProficient in Microsoft Word, Power point and Excel
\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
\nProficient in English<\/p>\n
