About the Company:
\nLundazi District Women Development Association (LDWDA), established in 1994, is dedicated to improving the standard of living for small-scale farmers in the Lundazi District of the Eastern Province of Zambia. We are a member-based organization with 3,270 members (2,570 women and 700 men) working to enhance the livelihoods of rural communities.
\nAs part of our ongoing commitment to sustainable development, we have partnered with We Effect on a Women Economic Empowerment project. This project focuses on empowering women in rural communities through access to economic opportunities, financial services, and sustainable agricultural practices. We Effect is a Swedish development organization that supports initiatives aimed at strengthening women\u2019s roles in agriculture and improving their economic well-being.
\nAbout the Role:
\nWe are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Field Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in the field and possess excellent knowledge of agricultural or business operations. Fluency in Tumbuka and Nyanja is essential for effective communication within our target communities.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Conduct field visits and monitor ongoing projects in Chasefu District.
\nProvide support and guidance to local communities in the implementation of agricultural or business programs.
\nCollect and analyze data related to the progress of projects.
\nMaintain accurate reports and documentation.
\nWork closely with local stakeholders, partners, and communities to ensure the success of projects.
\nAssist in organizing community training sessions and workshops.<\/p>\n
Qualifications:<\/p>\n
A minimum of a Diploma in Agriculture, Business Administration, or any relevant field.
\nAt least 3 years of experience as a Field Officer or in a similar role.
\nFluency in Tumbuka and Nyanja is a must.
\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
\nAbility to work independently and in a team.
\nExcellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
\nValid motorbike license.<\/p>\n
Desirable Skills:<\/p>\n
Knowledge of local community dynamics and cultures.
\nExperience in project management and monitoring<\/p>\n
