LpWSC was specifically established to provide water supply and sanitation services to all the people in all the Areas of Luapula Province (Urban and Rural areas). Operations of the Company began in 2009, and the Company is currently operating in Six (6) out of the Twelve (12) districts of the province, namely: Mansa, Samfya, Kawambwa, Mwense, Nchelenge, and Chienge districts.<br \/>\nLpWSC now seeks to recruit high profile, self-motivated, innovative, honest, committed, adequately and appropriately experienced, dynamic, and skilled individuals to fill the following vacant positions.<br \/>\n1. BILLING ADMINISTRATOR (1 POSITION)<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nReporting to the Manager Commercial Services, the Billing Administrator will be responsible for planning and coordinating the billing system administration.<br \/>\nMain Duties and Responsibilities (Principal Accountabilities)<\/p>\n<p>Prepare and distribute bills to customers in a timely and accurate manner.<br \/>\nMaintain bill cycles to ensure seamless billing operations.<br \/>\nManage and update customer database to ensure accuracy and completeness.<br \/>\nPerform data validation and cleansing to maintain data integrity.<br \/>\nRespond to and resolve customer complaints related to billing issues.<br \/>\nProvide excellent customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.<br \/>\nAdminister and maintain the billing system to ensure optimal performance.<br \/>\nTroubleshoot system issues and escalate to IT support when necessary.<br \/>\nTrain users of the billing system to ensure effective usage.<br \/>\nManage and supervise subordinates to ensure high-performance standards.<br \/>\nConduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.<br \/>\nPrepare and submit reports on billing operations, customer database, and system performance.<br \/>\nAnalyze data and provide insights to support business decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Grade (12) Certificate with five O levels including English and Mathematics.<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or a Business-related Discipline.<br \/>\n3 years\u2019 experience in a similar role.<br \/>\nMember of a relevant Professional Body.<br \/>\nQualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualification Authority.<\/p>\n<p>2. ACCOUNTANT \u2013 BUDGETS AND INVESTMENT (1 POSITION)<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nReporting to the Director Finance, the Accountant Budgets and Investment will be responsible for producing management accounts and providing expert financial management support in budgeting and investments, ensuring accurate financial forecasting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimal returns on investments.<br \/>\nMain Accountabilities:<\/p>\n<p>Developing, implementing, and monitoring budgets to ensure accurate financial forecasting and control.<br \/>\nAnalyzing financial data to predict future financial outcomes and identifying areas for cost reduction.<br \/>\nIdentifying and explaining variances between actual and budgeted financial results.<br \/>\nProviding regular budget reports to management and stakeholders.<br \/>\nEvaluating investment opportunities, such as stocks, bonds, and other securities.<br \/>\nProviding recommendations on investment strategies and portfolio management.<br \/>\nContinuously monitoring investment performance and adjusting strategies as needed.<br \/>\nProviding regular investment reports to management and stakeholders.<br \/>\nEnsuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing investments.<br \/>\nMaintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and data.<br \/>\nIdentifying and mitigating financial risks associated with budgeting and investing.<br \/>\nCommunicating financial information and insights to management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Grade (12) Certificate with five O levels including English and Mathematics.<br \/>\nFull ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia or equivalent. Master\u2019s Degree (MBA) will be an added advantage.<br \/>\nMember of ZICA.<br \/>\nMinimum 3-years post qualification experience in a similar role.<br \/>\nQualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualification Authority.<\/p>\n<p>3. REGISTRY CLERK (1 POSITION)<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nReporting to the Administrative Assistant, the Registry Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the safe custody and storage of the Company\u2019s information assets, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, files, and documents, and providing efficient registry services to support business operations.<br \/>\nMain Duties and Responsibilities (Principal Accountabilities)<\/p>\n<p>Develop and implement effective filing systems, both manual and electronic.<br \/>\nUndertake timely opening of new files and closing of old ones to foster information storage and retrieval.<br \/>\nMaintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mails and files to avoid losses and misdirection within the company.<br \/>\nEnsure the safe custody and storage of information, adhering to data protection and confidentiality protocols.<br \/>\nCirculate confidential mails and files to actioning officers to avoid delays and leakages.<br \/>\nPrepare inventory of files in an efficient and timely manner so as to facilitate accountability.<br \/>\nStoring, arranging, indexing, and classifying documents and information securely.<br \/>\nLocate correct forms and inventory all the time or as may be required.<br \/>\nProcess and scan files into digital media Electronic Storage of files.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies regarding information management.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Grade (12) Certificate with five O levels including English and Mathematics.<br \/>\nDiploma in Library Studies\/Records Management or equivalent.<br \/>\nMember of a relevant Professional Body.<br \/>\nMinimum 2 years work experience in a similar role.<br \/>\nQualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualification Authority.<\/p>\n<p>4. ZONAL SUPERVISOR (5 POSITIONS)<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nReporting to the Commercial Services Officer, the Zonal Supervisor will plan, coordinate, and manage the operations of the zones in their respective District.<br \/>\nMain Duties and Responsibilities (Principal Accountabilities)<\/p>\n<p>Develop and implement zonal plans and strategies to ensure supply of quality water and sanitation services in the zone.<br \/>\nPlans, monitors, and controls the zonal operations and water productions against set targets.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for water quality and safety.<br \/>\nTroubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to minimize service disruptions in the zone.<br \/>\nEnsure that maintenance works and repairs in the zone areas are carried out on the water supply and sewer networks according to the maintenance schedule.<br \/>\nConduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas of leakage and loss.<br \/>\nDevelop and implement strategies to reduce NRW within the zone.<br \/>\nOversee the metering, billing, and revenue collection process, ensuring that it is carried out as planned in order to achieve or exceed zonal targets.<br \/>\nIdentify and pursue opportunities to increase revenue and improve customer satisfaction within the zone.<br \/>\nEnsure that customer complaints are addressed promptly and resolved efficiently.<br \/>\nDevelop and manage the zonal budget to ensure alignment with company objectives.<br \/>\nIdentify areas for cost savings and implement initiatives to reduce expenses.<br \/>\nManage and supervise subordinates to ensure high-performance standards.<br \/>\nConduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.<br \/>\nPrepare and submit regular reports on zonal performance, including technical, commercial, and financial metrics.<br \/>\nEnsure that all reporting requirements are met, including regulatory and internal reporting.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Grade (12) Certificate with five O levels including English and Mathematics.<br \/>\nDiploma in Business Studies or its equivalent from a recognized University. A Degree will be an added advantage.<br \/>\nMinimum 3 years work experience in a similar role.<br \/>\nQualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualification Authority.<\/p>\n<p>5. CALL CENTRE AGENTS (2 POSITIONS)<br \/>\nJob Purpose<br \/>\nReporting to the Complaints Management Officer, the Call Centre Agent will be responsible for answering incoming calls from customers, responding to inquiries, managing complaints, troubleshooting significant customer service problems, and providing general information.<br \/>\nMain Duties and Responsibilities (Principal Accountabilities)<\/p>\n<p>Answer incoming calls and resolve customer complaints.<br \/>\nProvide product and service information to customers.<br \/>\nDocument all call information according to standard operating procedures.<br \/>\nRecognize, document, and alert the management team of trends in customer calls.<br \/>\nFollow up customer calls where necessary.<br \/>\nComplete call logs and reports.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>Grade (12) Certificate with five O levels including English and Mathematics.<br \/>\nCertificate in Public Relations\/Marketing\/Journalism\/Mass Communication or related field.<br \/>\nMinimum one-year experience in a similar role.<br \/>\nQualifications must be verified by the Zambia Qualification Authority.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
