\nPurpose of Role
\nThe Zambia Postal Services Corporation Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for protecting the Corporation\u2019s IT infrastructure, networks, and data from cyber threats.
\nThis role involves monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security incidents while implementing security measures to mitigate risks. The specialist ensures compliance with cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulations
\nDuties and Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
\n(a) Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, threats, and vulnerabilities.
\n(b) Investigate security incidents, analyze logs, and respond to cyber threats.
\n(c)\u00a0 Conduct forensic analysis and report findings.
\nRisk Assessment & Mitigation
\n(a)\u00a0 Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in IT infrastructure.
\n(b) Recommend and implement security solutions, such as firewalls, encryption, and endpoint protection.
\n(c)\u00a0 Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and industry standards.
\nSecurity Policies & Compliance
\n(a)\u00a0 Develop, review, and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and protocols.
\n(b)\u00a0 Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001, NIST, SOC 2).
\n(c)\u00a0 Conduct security awareness training for employees.
\nNetwork & System Security
\n(a)\u00a0 Configure and maintain security tools (firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection\/prevention systems).
\n(b)\u00a0 Implement secure access controls, authentication, and encryption protocols.
\n(c)\u00a0 Conduct regular vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
\nIncident Documentation & Reporting
\n(a)\u00a0 Maintain detailed records of security incidents and remediation steps.
\n(b)\u00a0 Provide reports to management and recommend security improvements.
\n(c)\u00a0 Collaborate with IT teams and external security agencies when necessary.<\/p>\n

Qualifications\/Requirements<\/p>\n
Full Grade Twelve (12) certificate with at least a credit in English and Mathematics.
\nDiploma or degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
\nAny Cybersecurity Certification will be an added advantage.<\/p>\n
