Maamba Energy Limited (MEL) is jointly owned by Nava Bharat Singapore Pte. Limited and ZCCM-IH plc. The Company owns and operates a large-scale coal mine and has also constructed and operates a 300 Mega Watt Coal fired Power Plant to cater for the growing demand for power in Zambia.
\nMaamba Energy Limited is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic professional who wants to build a career in a large and professionally managed company located in Maamba, Sinazongwe District, Southern Province. The position on offer is:
\n1. Shift Boss-Quality Control (1 Position)
\nThe successful candidates will be part of the Mining Department, will supervise Mining and other Related Operations in accordance with Mining and Explosive Regulations with the aim of achieving Company set goals.
\nThe selected candidates will report to the Mine Captain.
\nResponsibilities<\/p>\n
Ensure safety, health and environment in the area of appointment.
\nManage the stockpiles of various coal materials and products.
\nSupervise the loading of customer trucks.
\nControl quality being loaded to customers.
\nSupervise the dumping and stockpiling operations.
\nSupervise mine services operations and projects i.e. Mine roads.
\nControlling and management of spontaneous coal fires.
\nEnforcing mining and explosives regulations in the mining operations<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n
Grade 12 School Certificate.
\nDiploma or Degree in Mining Engineering from a reputable institution.
\nAt least three (02) years relevant practical mining experience.
\nMust be a member of the Engineering institution of Zambia.
\nMust have a valid Zambian Blasting License and First aid Certificate.
\nMust have knowledge of the Mining, Environmental and Explosives Regulations.
\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.
\nComputer literacy and Zambian drivers License will be added advantage.<\/p>\n
