Job Title: IT Officer
\nDepartment: IT & Information Security
\nLocation: Lusaka
\nReports To: Head \u2013 IT & Information Security (Currently handled by Head \u2013 HR)
\nJob Purpose:
\nThe IT Officer will provide technical support, assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensure compliance with ISO 27001 information security standards. The role involves troubleshooting IT issues, supporting end-users, and contributing to the firm\u2019s information security framework to protect sensitive client and company data.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nIT Support & Infrastructure Management:<\/p>\n
Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
\nInstall, configure, and maintain IT equipment including desktops, laptops, printers, and servers.
\nAssist in managing user accounts, email configurations, and access control in accordance with IT
\npolicies.
\nMonitor system performance and ensure IT infrastructure operates efficiently.
\nInformation Security & ISO 27001 Compliance:
\nAssist in implementing and maintaining ISO 27001 controls and policies.
\nSupport periodic security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
\nEnsure secure handling of company and client data in line with data protection policies.
\nEducate users on cybersecurity best practices, including phishing prevention and password
\nmanagement.<\/p>\n
Network & Systems Administration:<\/p>\n
Assist in maintaining local area networks (LAN), firewalls, and VPNs.
\nSupport regular system updates, patches, and software deployments.
\nHelp maintain backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.<\/p>\n
General IT Administration:<\/p>\n
Maintain IT asset inventory and ensure proper documentation of IT resources.
\nCollaborate with vendors and service providers for IT support and procurement.
\nAssist in IT policy documentation and enforcement within the organization.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
\n1-2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or cybersecurity.
\nBasic knowledge of information security principles, preferably with exposure to ISO 27001.
\nExperience with Windows and Linux operating systems, Microsoft 365, and networking
\nfundamentals.
\nUnderstanding of cybersecurity tools such as antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protection
\nsolutions is a plus.<\/p>\n

\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
