Environmental Officer
\nJob Summary: The Environmental Officer will oversee the design and implementation of programs aimed at promoting environmental sustainability within the community. This includes ensuring that the organization\u2019s operations align with environmental best practices and sustainability principles.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Program Development & Implementation: Design and implement environmental sustainability programs, including waste management, water conservation, energy efficiency, and biodiversity conservation.
\nMonitoring & Evaluation: Monitor environmental impacts of the organization\u2019s activities and assess the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
\nCompliance & Reporting: Ensure that the organization complies with all environmental laws, regulations, and policies. Prepare reports on environmental performance for internal and external stakeholders.
\nCommunity Outreach & Education: Organize training, workshops, and awareness campaigns to educate the community about environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
\nResource mobilization: Undertake resource mobilization activities to solicit funds for environment related projects
\nResearch & Advocacy: Stay up-to-date on environmental trends and issues, advocating for best practices in sustainable development.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related field.
\nThree (03) years\u2019 work experience in environmental sustainability, project management, and community engagement.
\nKnowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n
