The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive mining experience, and a deep understanding of operational best practices.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\n\u2013 Operational Supervision: Manage daily mining activities to achieve production targets while maintaining safety and efficiency.<br \/>\n\u2013 Safety &amp; Compliance: Implement and enforce mine safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and ensure adherence to Zambian mining laws.<br \/>\n\u2013 Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor mining crews, providing guidance on best practices and productivity improvements.<br \/>\n\u2013 Resource Management: Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively to optimize operations.<br \/>\n\u2013 Production Planning: Work with geologists and engineers to develop and execute mining plans aligned with operational goals.<br \/>\n\u2013 Reporting &amp; Analysis: Prepare reports on production, safety incidents, and operational efficiency while recommending areas for improvement.<br \/>\n\u2013 Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges such as equipment breakdowns, geological obstacles, and workforce coordination.<br \/>\n\u2013 Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with management, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth operations.<br \/>\nQualifications &amp; Experience:<br \/>\n\u2013 A minimum of 15 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.<br \/>\n\u2013 A diploma or degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field (preferred).<br \/>\n\u2013 A valid Mine Captain\u2019s Certificate of Competency.<br \/>\n\u2013 Strong knowledge of underground or open-pit mining methods, equipment, and regulations.<br \/>\n\u2013 Proven leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.<br \/>\nExcellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
