Yalelo is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Engineering Manager to lead and manage a team of skilled engineering professionals and, when necessary, third-party suppliers. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring optimal machinery and equipment performance by minimizing downtime and overseeing the delivery of capital projects that are technically sound and meet the required quality standards.
\nThis role is based in Siavonga and is open to Zambian nationals only.

\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Team Leadership: Manage and guide the Engineering team, ensuring efficient workflows and achieving department objectives.
\nProject Management: Serve as the Project Manager for multiple initiatives, including developing timelines, budgeting, coordinating team meetings, and ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and costs.
\nTechnical Oversight: Oversee and coordinate engineering functions and operations, ensuring technical accuracy in all work and projects.
\nPolicy and Standards Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and quality standards to enhance operational efficiency.
\nContractor Assurance: Ensure all contractors are appropriately pre-qualified and compliant for the delivery of engineering assignments and projects.
\nFinancial Management: Achieve financial goals by forecasting requirements, preparing operational budgets, monitoring expenditures, analysing variances, and implementing corrective measures as needed.

Qualifications<\/p>\n
The Essentials<\/p>\n
Education:\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent in Engineering (Master\u2019s degree preferred).
\nExperience:\u00a0At least 6 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 3 years managing a multidisciplinary engineering team.
\nProven experience in managing large teams and overseeing projects.
\nFamiliarity with working on the farm is advantageous but not mandatory.
\nProfessional Membership:\u00a0Must be a registered member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (essential)<\/p>\n

In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and design criteria.
\nExceptional interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
\nStrong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.

\nProven supervisory and leadership expertise.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software; familiarity with
