The ideal candidate will conduct assessments, provide therapeutic interventions, and address the psychosocial needs of our community.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nProvide daily clinical counseling therapy using evidence-based techniques (play-based interventions, therapeutic art, CBT, trauma-focused approaches)<br \/>\nConduct psychological, emotional, developmental, and social assessments<br \/>\nCreate and implement individualized treatment plans<br \/>\nManage referrals, triage cases, and prioritize client needs facilitate therapeutic support groups (HIV, sickle cell, sexual abuse, grief, trauma)<br \/>\nConduct HIV disclosure processes with children who are HIV+ and their parents\/guardians<br \/>\nPrepare children for family reintegration and provide follow-up support<br \/>\nProvide crisis intervention for children who have run away from the residence<br \/>\nConduct death\/illness disclosures and accompany children to funerals or hospital visits when needed<br \/>\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Family Legacy ministries<br \/>\nMaintain detailed client records and documentation compliant with HPCZ, ZCC, and PAZ standards<br \/>\nRequired Qualifications:<br \/>\nAssociate-level license in psychosocial or child counseling accredited by the Zambian Counselling Council (ZCC) or Psychological Association of Zambia (PAZ)<br \/>\nMinimum level of certificate level qualification in psychological, child, or clinical counseling<br \/>\nFull Grade 12 certificate<br \/>\nAt least 1 year of experience in a similar position<br \/>\nCurrent Zambian counseling licensure<br \/>\nNo prior convictions of harm to a child<br \/>\nPreferred Qualifications:<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in psychology or psychosocial counseling<br \/>\nExperience working with traumatized or vulnerable children<br \/>\nKnowledge of trauma-informed care approaches<br \/>\nRequired Skills:<br \/>\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)<br \/>\nAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and privacy<br \/>\nComputer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email)<br \/>\nSelf-management with limited supervision<br \/>\nCreative problem-solving abilities<br \/>\nTeam collaboration across departments<br \/>\nEmotional resilience and ability to remain calm under pressure<br \/>\nCultural sensitivity and awareness<br \/>\nAdherence to deadlines and organizational procedures<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
