Achieving goals to increase new business and grow current business. Monitoring of all operations and sales related policies and procedures, their effectiveness in the current business to assist in building a successful regional team.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Conduct branch visits on a regular basis as per schedule and ensure all day-to-day processes are in place and followed correctly.<br \/>\nSubmit monthly travel plan for approval \u2013 after approval book meeting with Procurement for booking and finance of travel.<br \/>\nFollow up on all regulatory requirements for the Branches.<br \/>\nFollow up on service contracts for the Branches and ensure procurement keep everything up to date.<br \/>\nDetecting, investigating, and remedying discrepancies in sales across branches, as well as fraudulent activities, if required.<br \/>\nCollate, prepare, and interpret reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries, and financial statements.<br \/>\nUndertake research into pricing, competitors and factors affecting performance.<br \/>\nManaging budgets and prepare monthly and quarterly management reports for the Chief Commercial officer.<br \/>\nIdentification of the potential areas \/ suburbs for expansion of branches in a region.<br \/>\nWork closely with all relevant department when looking into branch expansions \u2013 scout locations, follow-up on Procurement quotes and tickets logged, investigate quotes if needed, ensure IT orders are in place by constant follow up.<br \/>\nAssess potential\u00a0client base and product acceptability in new regions.<br \/>\nAssess business growth and diversity of products in the regions.<br \/>\nMonitor company vehicle in area, for maintenance and licenses.<br \/>\nMonitor the travel log (km travelled) in area.<br \/>\nEnsure all indemnity forms are in place for people (DSAs) travelling with vehicle, not employed by Company.<br \/>\nManaging sales, by developing a business plan that covers regional sales, revenue, and expense controls.<br \/>\nManage and develop the team to meet\/exceed new prospect sales and retention goals on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.<br \/>\nEnsure ongoing training of the whole sales team.<br \/>\nPrepare accurate and timely reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) to management forums.<br \/>\nCoordinate regional sales meetings with branch teams and guide the team on sales activation with strategic partners and potential customers.<br \/>\nEnsure customer service is at the highest levels and the brand is promoted positively across all branches in the region.<br \/>\nMaintain an expert level of understanding of all products and services offer by the company.<br \/>\nIdentify and submit sales bottlenecks to relevant departments and\/or higher management.<br \/>\nRecommend strategies for improving operations of the sales regional team.<br \/>\nAlways aim to exceed the monthly sales targets.<br \/>\nEnsure that the team follow company standards and ensure high quality and productivity of job performance through Branch Managers.<br \/>\nLead and manage regional team (including Direct Sales Agents) through Team Leaders\/Branch Managers.<br \/>\nLead, coach, and mentor Branch Managers and ensure that they do the same for their teams, this includes positive motivation and performance evaluation, coaching, providing regular feedback, communication of goals, checking achievements, leading regular team calls, etc.<br \/>\nIn collaboration with HR, ensure recruitment, retention and development is taking place within the regional team to ensure the department achieves results.<br \/>\nMediate disputes between regional team and request HR assistance when needed.<br \/>\nEnsure ongoing training of the whole regional team (including Direct Sales Agents).<br \/>\nDevelop the sales team through motivation, counselling, and involve the Trainer with product knowledge training where necessary.<br \/>\nMaintain clear communication lines and instil trust within the team from a distance.<br \/>\nEnsure that the team is always up to date with new procedures, amendments product knowledge and all job-related updates.<br \/>\nConduct regular meetings with Branch Managers to ensure they are meeting expectations and are on target and that there is a continuous tracking and monitoring of team performance.<br \/>\nConduct monthly Branch audits and ensure that identified gaps are closed.<br \/>\nAny other duties that may be assigned from time to time<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in marketing &amp; Sales\/Business Administration<br \/>\nGrade 12 School Certificate with 5 credits including English and Mathematics<br \/>\nMinimum three (3) years sales experience in finance field or equivalent.<br \/>\nPrevious experience in Microfinance, financial services or insurance sector will be advantageous.<br \/>\nProven track record of managing sales teams with a positive sales performance.<br \/>\nExcellent time management, analytical and organizational skills with a strong customer centric focus.<br \/>\nInterpersonal skills and ability to lead and motivate team to attain a shared goal.<br \/>\nHigh degree of confidentiality required (Maintain confidentiality regarding all information being processed, stored, or accessed).<br \/>\nApproachable and team player with problem solving skills<br \/>\nExcellent verbal and communication skills in English.<br \/>\nProactiveness and Assertiveness.<br \/>\nGood knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Power point.<br \/>\nValid Driver\u2019s license \u2013 be willing to travel.<br \/>\nTarget-driven, self-motivated, and improvement-oriented personality.<br \/>\nIndependent and flexible.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
