\nThe Company invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position under the Human Resource Department:
\nPOSITION: TECHNICAL TRAINER \u2013 MAINTENANCE x 1 (PERMANENT)
\nThis position reports to the Learning and Development Specialist.
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Prepare, conduct, and evaluate technical training programs.
\nWrite on the job learning materials and assessments to be used in conducting on the job training.
\nContribute to conducting root-cause analysis during technical problem solving.
\nGuide and advise frontline line managers on appropriate approaches to close technical skills gaps.
\nPartner with frontline managers in the technical operational areas to identify competence gaps resulting.
\nConduct a learning needs analysis for technical maintenance team at the Mills.
\nDevelop on the job training programmes.
\nConduct on the job training using a variety of methods.
\nConduct pre and post training assessments and give feedback.
\nParticipate in factory production meetings and in skills development committees.
\nIdentify competence gaps during problem solving meetings as part of root cause analysis.
\nConduct Off crop preparation training follow-up training sessions.
\nWrite technical training modules and contributes to the development of work instructions.
\nEnsure that all technical training records are maintained.
\nProduce and submit technical training progress reports to line management.Conduct formal upskilling programs (e.g. Artisan Training Program (ADP) & Artisan Utility Day Training \u2013 Continuous learning).
\nFacilitate and manage Artisan trainee, learnerships and apprenticeship programs
\nCoordinate SHERQ legal \/mandatory training required for specific licenses or certification.
\nOversees on-site activities of external training providers to ensure compliance to site specific SHERQ policy and procedures.
\nProvide input into annual L&D budgets and deliver on ABF\u2019s maintenance training strategy.
\nProvide, through the L&D administrator on-site coordination of trainings and venues.
\nPromote and adhere to ABF Sugar procedures, policies, and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).
\nWork closely with L&D Officer to deliver the business\u2019s overall strategic goals.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Full grade 12 Certificate.
\nMinimum Diploma in Mechanical \/ Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
\nAssessor and Learning Facilitation Competence Certificates
\nPreferably 3 to 5 years\u2019 experience as an FLM in Sugar Maintenance Operations.
\nBusiness acumen; Passion for development; Ability to communicate effectively and assertively; Influencing and negotiating skills; Ability to work in a team; planning and organizational skills; Analytical and Problem-solving skills, Computer Literacy, Ability to manage multiple projects, multi-task effectively.
\nValid driver\u2019s license.
\nSuitably qualified applicants must provide certificates which have been verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).<\/p>\n
