Position Overview
\nThe Head \u2013 Sales and Distribution North is responsible for merchant acquisition and retention. This role also involves managing the Sales team within the northern region. The Head \u2013 Sales and Distribution North will oversee the strategic growth and operational efficiency of the sales and distribution department within the assigned region.
\nJob Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Formulate strategy for the Sales and Distribution department and present monthly sales reports to Exco
\nDevelop and implement merchant recruitment and retention strategies for the northern region
\nDrive growth in EVD, Cash Deposits, Cash Withdrawals, Merchant Payments, and Online Payments business lines
\nInspire and drive merchant strategy through sales teams
\nOversee merchant support and training initiatives
\nConduct market analysis on product trends and merchant behaviors
\nContribute to new product development and enhancement of existing products
\nManage Regional Sales Managers to ensure revenue and expenditure targets are met
\nGuide Exco on sales strategies for the region and align sales efforts with company goals<\/p>\n
Accountability and Performance Measures
\nAccountable for achieving revenue targets in the following business lines:<\/p>\n
Airtime and Bill Payments
\nCash Deposits and Cash Withdrawals
\nMerchant and Online Payments
\nResponsible for the performance of Regional Sales Managers
\nEnsure revenue target achievement and efficient expense management in the northern region.
\nPerform any other duties assigned by management<\/p>\n
Organizational Alignment<\/p>\n
Reports directly to the Managing Director
\nDirectly manages the sales team for the northern region<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Minimum 3-year degree in any field
\nFour years of post-qualification experience in a management position
\nFour years of post-qualification sales experience in an FMCG environment
\nMinimum of two years\u2019 experience in digital financial services
\nExperience in leading a team of five or more people<\/p>\n
