The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma in Agriculture\/Agronomy and demonstrate hands-on experience in managing seedlings, managing crops and supervising farm operations.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\nOversee day-to-day farm operations, focusing on the planting, growth, and maintenance of seedlings and crops.<br \/>\nPlan and implement planting schedules, including seed selection, spacing, depth, and environmental requirements to ensure healthy crop development.<br \/>\nMonitor soil conditions, irrigation systems, and pest control measures to optimize plant growth and productivity.<br \/>\nSupervise and support farm staff, offering guidance, delegation, and training to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to best practices.<br \/>\nWork collaboratively with the senior management team to design crop production plans and timelines.<br \/>\nMaintain accurate records on crop performance, seedling development, pest control, watering schedules, and other environmental factors.<br \/>\nTrack and document farm expenses and resource usage.<br \/>\nConduct regular inspections of both the nursery and crop fields, identifying any problems early and applying necessary solutions.<br \/>\nAssist with preparing production reports and updates on progress and performance.<br \/>\nPerform other duties as required.<br \/>\nQualifications and Requirements<br \/>\nA Diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a closely related field from a recognised institution.<br \/>\nStrong Knowledge of vegetable crop production and management.<br \/>\nProven experience in crop and seedling management, as well as supervising farm activities.<br \/>\nSolid understanding of plant biology, soil health, and irrigation techniques.<br \/>\nKnowledge of pest and disease control, as well as fertilizer application.<br \/>\nStrong leadership and team coordination skills.<br \/>\nAttention to detail, problem-solving ability\u00a0 and a proactive attitude.<br \/>\nWillingness and stamina to work in outdoor, hands-on conditions.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with farm machinery and tools (advantageous).<br \/>\nGood communication skills for effective interaction with staff, management and suppliers.<br \/>\nBenefits<br \/>\nPerformance-based Opportunity: After 6 months, a successful intern will be considered for a 1-year full employment contract with a revised salary.
