Position Descriptions<br \/>\nPosition Title: Internal Auditor (IA)<br \/>\nPosition Type: Full Time contractual of fixed tenure.<br \/>\nLocation: Head Office Lusaka.<br \/>\n2.1 Job Summary<br \/>\nThe Internal Auditor will be responsible for the review and appraisal of company systems, operations and procedures, planning and execution of audits\/investigation as well as conduct risk assessments on key Company activities with recommendations to manage risk and improve business results for the company.<br \/>\nThis role will report directly to the Board and Audit finance Committee. IA will also work closely with all Heads of Department in provision of an oversight role on their adherence to policies, systems and procedures. The job holder must have proven work experience in systems auditing.<br \/>\n2.2 DESIRED KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<br \/>\n2.2.1 Confidentiality, Ethics and Policy adherence<br \/>\nThe job holder shall ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures; maintain financial security by following and enforcing all internal controls, protect business integrity by keeping financial and business information confidential, and communicate any leaks, gaps or improvements to management.<br \/>\nMost importantly, the IA shall Create and contribute to a culture of professionalism,<br \/>\nhonesty and integrity within the FCFL by leading an example of professional<br \/>\nJudgment and sound leadership.<br \/>\n2.2.2 Internal Audit Duties<br \/>\nAssess whether all risks have been identified, appropriate controls have been put in place and update in instances where further risks are identified.<br \/>\nPerforming financial, operational and compliance audits of assigned functions,<br \/>\nbusiness processes, and application controls in supporting IT systems including<br \/>\nidentifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing<br \/>\nevidence, and documenting client processes and procedures.<br \/>\nIdentify, develop and document audit issues and recommendations using<br \/>\nindependent judgement concerning areas being reviewed.<br \/>\nEnsure internal audit and control activities are conducted in adherence to<br \/>\nprofessional standards and observation of relevant legal requirements.<br \/>\nProvide advisory services concerning business process, operations, regulations,<br \/>\npolicies and procedures and make recommendation for improvements.<br \/>\nComplete audit testing and obtain adequate evidence (clear documentation)<br \/>\nEvaluate all procurement and financial documents for accuracy and compliancy to respective policies, Business strategic Plan and approved budgets.<br \/>\nPreparing the draft audit report reflecting an overview of the function reviewed,<br \/>\nconclusions regarding the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and operational efficiencies.<br \/>\nProvide Management with updates on corporate governance issues and their<br \/>\nimplications on organization operations as and when need arises<br \/>\nReporting to the Board on a regular basis.<br \/>\n2.3 DESIRED COMPETENCIES\/QUALIFICATIONS\/ EXPERIENCE<br \/>\nSchool certificate with credit or better in 5 O level subjects including English,<br \/>\nmathematics and sciences.<br \/>\nQualified full ACCA, CIMA, and ZICA Professional.<br \/>\nRegistered member of both the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is a requirement.<br \/>\nA minimum of 5 years post graduate auditing experience in the multinational and financial sector with international accredited audit firms.<br \/>\nIT proficiency in accounting Software, spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Excel, Office power point publisher.<br \/>\nSkills set: strong communication skills, excellent attention to details on large amount of data and numbers, exceptional mathematical and statistical skills to study tendencies and verify accounting entries, sound analytical and thinking skills to gather all of the available data and make informed decision, excellent research skills to find all related information needed, Ability to be discrete and applies strict confidentiality to sensitive matters.<br \/>\nSelf-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
