\nAbout the role:
\nOur client is looking for a Technician with vast experience in diamond drilling techniques and geotechnical works. The suitable candidate must be able to perform the following:
\nDiamond Drilling<\/p>\n
Diamond drilling with particular attention to drilling parameters i.e. control of water pump pumping rate, control of drill feed, interpretation of pressure readings etc
\nBorehole camera survey
\nDirectional drilling or hole deflection
\nCore orientation
\nChemical application
\nDepth checks
\nEnd of shift diamond drilling report writing
\nQA\/QC application during core drilling, handling and transportation
\nBasic maintenance skills i.e. repair of water swivels, backends, water pumps etc.<\/p>\n
Geotechnical<\/p>\n
Geotechnical logging
\nRock Quality Designation<\/p>\n
Testing items for rock stratum:<\/p>\n
True density and apparent density
\nPorosity, water absorption, moisture content,
\nNatural compressive strength
\nSaturated compressive strength,
\nTensile strength and internal friction angle
\nCohesion, elastic modulus, eoisson\u2019s ratio<\/p>\n
Note:\u00a0An Engineer who meets the above requirements can also apply.
\nCompensation:
\nThe incumbent will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
