We are currently recruiting for the Programme Coordinator and an Intern. Details for the two positions are listed below:<br \/>\nPosition \u2013 Programme Coordinator x 1<br \/>\nMain Responsibilities and Tasks:<br \/>\nProgramme Management<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Ensure programme management in line with donor expectations and GHP quality standards.<br \/>\nExperience in managing a variety of stakeholders and lead on engagement and coordination.<br \/>\nBudget management, including timely and accurate reporting the finance department.<br \/>\nLead in-country MEL activities with support from the UK office.<br \/>\nActively support the design of new programmes and drafting of proposals.<br \/>\nStrong collaboration with colleagues in the Zambia office and the UK office<\/p>\n<p>Project Administration and Reporting<\/p>\n<p>Custodian of all project work plans and budgets for assigned projects.<br \/>\nEnsure efficient document management, including filing of project key documents.<br \/>\nEnsure effective communication of project outcomes and deliverables to the Communications department through reports, case studies, pictures, videos etc.<br \/>\nEnsure THET travel procedures are followed for field work travel.<\/p>\n<p>Development of Strategies and New Projects<\/p>\n<p>Support the Country Director to develop, implement and evaluate THET projects, providing updates and recommendations for new and ongoing work in Zambia.<br \/>\nIn support of the Country Director, contribute to the updating of country strategy.<br \/>\nSupport the development of new funding opportunities and project proposals.<\/p>\n<p>Monitoring, Evaluation and Supervision<\/p>\n<p>Contribute to the implementation of the MEL tools for all country projects.<br \/>\nSupport partners in the field to plan and monitor activity implementation.<br \/>\nLead on project MEL plans and ensure tools are updated regularly.<\/p>\n<p>Representation, Coordination and Advocacy<\/p>\n<p>Establish and maintain relationships with donors, project stakeholders and other organisations working in project intervention areas<br \/>\nParticipate in technical working groups and other coordination meetings (with programme coordinators and managers from other NGOs, donors concerned at central level or in the field, etc.) in support of the Country Director.<br \/>\nAny other task requested by the Country Director.<\/p>\n<p>Essential:<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s Degree (Merit or Distinction) in a relevant discipline from an accredited University in Zambia.<br \/>\nDesirable:<br \/>\nMaster\u2019s Degree in a relevant discipline such as Social Sciences or Global\/Public Health.<br \/>\nEssential Experience<\/p>\n<p>Minimum of 10 years\u2019 experience working as a Programme Coordinator (or a similar senior programmatic role) within an NGO in Zambia<br \/>\nDemonstrated experience in end-to-end programme management including planning, implementation, budgeting, monitoring, and project close outs.<br \/>\nProven track record of drafting high-quality narrative and financial reports for major donors and partners such as MoH, USAID, UN agencies, SIDA, GIZ, and FCDO.<br \/>\nExperience supporting fundraising efforts, including donor mapping, partnership cultivation, and contributing to proposal development.<br \/>\nStrong budgeting skills, with hands-on experience in budget design, expenditure tracking, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.<br \/>\nDemonstrated ability to prepare and deliver written and verbal communications for diverse audiences, including government, donors, NGOs etc.<br \/>\nProven experience working with international teams across time zones.<br \/>\nExperience supporting knowledge management functions e.g., development of case studies and success stories.<\/p>\n<p>2. Position \u2013 Intern- New Business Development and Project Implementation Assistance<br \/>\n(only applicable to those who graduated between 2022 and 2025)<br \/>\nMain Tasks and Responsibilities:<br \/>\nProject Implementation Assistance:<\/p>\n<p>Collaborate with project teams to support the execution of current projects, ensuring alignment with established timelines and objectives.<br \/>\nAssist in monitoring project progress, collecting data, and preparing reports to inform stakeholders of developments.<br \/>\nProvide logistical support for organizing project-related activities, including workshops, meetings, and field visits.<\/p>\n<p>Fundraising and Business Development Support:<\/p>\n<p>Conduct research to identify potential funding opportunities and strategic partnerships.<br \/>\nAssist in drafting and preparing proposals, ensuring alignment with donor priorities and organizational goals.<br \/>\nSupport the cultivation of relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders to enhance business development efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Documentation and Reporting:<\/p>\n<p>Ensure all project and organizational documents are current, including risk registers and security.<br \/>\nAssist in preparing regular reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.<\/p>\n<p>Website Management:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Support the regular updating of the Zambia GHP website with relevant content, including news, project updates, and success stories.<br \/>\nMonitor website analytics to assess user engagement and suggest improvements to enhance user experience.<\/p>\n<p>Case Study Development:<\/p>\n<p>Collaborate with project teams to identify impactful projects and activities suitable for case studies.<br \/>\nDraft compelling success stories, case studies, and testimonials to highlight project impacts and lessons learned.<\/p>\n<p>Essential Requirements<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited university; graduates with distinction or merit are encouraged to apply.<br \/>\nMaster\u2019s degree in a relevant discipline such as Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, or Global\/Public Health is an added advantage.<br \/>\nRecent graduates (2022\u20132025) in humanities, natural sciences, public health, or related fields are encouraged to apply.<br \/>\nDemonstrated interest in public health, international development, or related sectors.<br \/>\nNo work experience required but instead a willingness to learn and contribute to project documentation, website updates and reporting.<br \/>\nStrong interest in NGO work, project implementation, new business development\/fundraising, and communications.<br \/>\nUnderstanding of, and interest in, global health issues and international development.<br \/>\nWillingness to learn about Monitoring and Evaluation (M&amp;E) principles.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
