Kalomo Women District Association is a strong base for building women\u2019s voices at all community levels with the aim of enhancing women\u2019s economic empowerment in their communities, hence the focus on income generating activities<br \/>\nJob Summary:<br \/>\nWe are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Officer to drive the growth and sustainability of our oil expeller and sunflower seed distribution programme and other business initiatives and models within and outside Choma District. This role is crucial in empowering women entrepreneurs and strengthening the local agricultural value chain. He\/ she will develop and implement franchise models, build strategic partnerships, and provide essential training to ensure the success of this vital initiative.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nFranchise Development &amp; Management:<br \/>\n-Design and implement a robust franchise model for our oil expeller and sunflower seed distribution programme.<br \/>\n-Identify, recruit, and train potential franchisees, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge for success.<br \/>\n-Develop comprehensive franchise guidelines, operational manuals, and effective marketing strategies.<br \/>\nBusiness Growth &amp; Market Expansion:<br \/>\n-Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities for expanding our businesses.<br \/>\n-Develop and execute strategic plans to increase revenue and profitability, focusing on sustainable growth.<br \/>\n-Analyse customer needs and preferences to tailor our products and services effectively.<br \/>\nStrategic Partnerships &amp; Networking:<br \/>\n-Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners within the district and beyond.<br \/>\n-Actively seek and secure funding and grants to support business expansion and community development projects.<br \/>\n-Represent the organisation at meetings, conferences, and networking events to promote our business initiatives.<br \/>\nCapacity Building &amp; Training:<br \/>\n-Provide comprehensive training and mentorship to women entrepreneurs in business management, financial literacy, and sustainable agricultural practices.<br \/>\n-Develop and deliver engaging training materials and workshops to empower franchisees and community members.<br \/>\nMonitoring, Evaluation, &amp; Reporting:<br \/>\n-Track the progress of business development initiatives and franchise operations, ensuring accountability and effectiveness.<br \/>\n-Prepare detailed reports on business performance, challenges, and opportunities, providing actionable insights.<br \/>\n-Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and maximise impact.<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience:<br \/>\n-Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field.<br \/>\n-Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in business development, franchise management, or a similar role.<br \/>\n-Demonstrated success in growing businesses or social enterprises, preferably within the agricultural sector.<br \/>\n-Strong understanding of agricultural value chains, particularly in sunflower oil production.<br \/>\n-Experience working with women\u2019s groups or community-based organisations in Zambia is highly desirable.<br \/>\n-Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.<br \/>\n-Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.<br \/>\n-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business development tools.<br \/>\n-Must be a Kalomo resident<br \/>\n-Must be fluent in\u00a0 the local languages of the district (Tonga and English)<br \/>\nPersonal Attributes:<br \/>\n-A strong passion for women\u2019s empowerment and community development in Zambia.<br \/>\n\u2013 Innovative and strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.<br \/>\n\u2013 Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome challenges.<br \/>\n\u2013 Ability to thrive in a rural setting and adapt to the local context.<br \/>\nHigh level of integrity.<br \/>\nSubmit your applications in 1 PDF file containing a cover letter, CV, NRC, qualifications, and other relevant documentation.<br \/>\nKnowing how to ride a motorbike will be an advantage.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
