This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, including low voltage\/medium voltage distribution lines, transformers, solar grid systems, and metering equipment. Troubleshooting electrical issues and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

\nJob Description
\nInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including LV\/MV distribution lines, transformers, and metering equipment.
\nEnsure safe operating of line through preventative measures on electrical systems part of manufacturing line
\nConduct wiring for smart meters, inverters, and energy storage systems (e.g., batteries, solar panels).
\nInstall and maintain electrical control systems
\nEnsure compliance with electrical codes
\nCollaborate with other technicians, engineers and mechanics to complete projects as well as repairs
\nProvide training and guidance to apprentices
\nKeep accurate records of electrical work performed
\nEnsure electrical are up to date and well maintained
\nCandidate Specification
\nExperience: 2 years plus
\nEducation Level: Diploma Level
\nQualifications: Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
\nSoftware: Related software and must be a licensed electrician with proven field experience (preferably in rural electrification, mini-grids, or utility projects).
\nEquipment: Job related
\nKnowledge Of: LV and MV systems, solar PV installations, and energy storage solutions.
\nSkills To: LV and MV systems, solar PV installations, and energy storage solutions.
\nAbility To: Read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
\nOther Requirements: Willingness to travel and work in remote project locations.
