Teaching Staff as Teachers of Physics, Biology and Chemistry .The ideal candidates should possess a thorough understanding of effective teaching practices.<br \/>\nREQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n<p>Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of learners and how they learn<br \/>\nKnow subject and curriculum content and how to teach it<br \/>\nDemonstrate professional teacher values and attributes<br \/>\nEstablish professional relationships to develop and support learning and teaching<br \/>\nImplement effective planning, teaching, learning, and assessment practice<br \/>\nDemonstrate innovative and effective classroom practice<br \/>\nCreate and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment<br \/>\nEngage professionally with parents and communities<\/p>\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n<p>Certified (ECZ) Full Grade 12 Certificate (Five O levels) inclusive of Mathematics and Science<br \/>\nBachelor\u2019s Degree, or its equivalent<br \/>\nProven ability and experience in teaching Chemistry\/Physics (Combination) in Secondary School<br \/>\nLicensed with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ)<br \/>\nExcellent English language reading and writing skills<br \/>\nExperience with the ECZ Curriculum preferable<br \/>\nExcellent IT literacy, knowledge, and experience of online teaching tools<br \/>\nExperience administering and managing online platforms<\/p>\n<p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\/ACCOUNTABILITIES<br \/>\nACADEMIC<\/p>\n<p>For each class, plan and prepare termly schemes of work and synopses in accordance with the school\u2019s curriculum and the policy on differentiated work for the range of learners learning needs.<br \/>\nWillingness to embrace the ethos of the school, especially respect for the individual, while delivering an innovative and academically challenging education<br \/>\nOpen to learning new skills and techniques.<br \/>\nTeach, according to their educational needs, the learners assigned to him\/her, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the learners in school or at home in accordance with the agreed curriculum.<br \/>\nSet and mark homework according to the school\u2019s homework policy.<br \/>\nAssess record and report the development, progress, and attainment of learners according to the school\u2019s assessment policy.<br \/>\nPrepare, assess, and invigilate learners for standardized assessment tests or external examinations that the school requires.<br \/>\nWork with a small team of Secondary teachers to ensure a vibrant , positive culture of learning;<br \/>\nEnsure that the school maintains a lively, stimulating environment e.g. through regularly renewed displays of learners\u2019 work.<br \/>\nRegularly review curriculum and schemes of work.<br \/>\nKeep up to date on the latest educational technology developments, evaluating and implementing as appropriate<br \/>\nSupervise and, so far as is practicable, teach any learners whose teacher is not available to teach them as assigned by Administration.<br \/>\nParticipate in the ordering of equipment and materials.<br \/>\nTo write informative and detailed reports to parents to impart up-to-date information on their child\u2019s progress and ability, from which targets are set.<\/p>\n<p>PASTORAL<\/p>\n<p>Maintain good discipline (In line with the behavior policy) within his\/her classes, in co-operation with others and the School as a whole, in order to uphold the ethos of the school.<br \/>\nSafeguard the health and safety of the children and promote their well-being at all time<br \/>\nRegister and monitor learners\u2019 attendance.<br \/>\nPromote the personal and social well-being of individual learners and any class or group of learners assigned to him\/her.<br \/>\nProvide guidance and advice to learners on educational and social matters.<br \/>\nMake records of, and reports on, the personal and social needs of learners including incident records\/files<br \/>\nCommunicate and consult with parents, and others concerned with the welfare and progress of the learners under his\/her care.<br \/>\nParticipate in meetings arranged for any of the purposes described above, whether during or outside school hours.<br \/>\nAttend assemblies, parent-teacher conferences, orientation evenings, and events as appropriate.<br \/>\nEnsure children are wearing the correct uniform according to the school\u2019s Dress Code and to be seen to be supporting and promoting the school\u2019s Dress Code.<br \/>\nPromote and uphold the school\u2019s Vision &amp; Mission statements.<\/p>\n<p>PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT<\/p>\n<p>Participate in the appraisal of his\/her performance and that of other teachers according to the School\u2019s appraisal policy.<br \/>\nRegularly review his\/her methods of teaching.<br \/>\nParticipate in arrangements for further training and professional development as a teacher as appropriate.<br \/>\nProvide professional development\/ staff training as required in the field of Technology Integration<\/p>\n<p>STAFF MEETINGS<\/p>\n<p>Participate in all whole Staff Meetings \/ CPD sessions and all meetings which relate to the teacher\u2019s professional duties whether during or outside school hours.<\/p>\n<p>MANAGEMENT<\/p>\n<p>Contribute as appropriate to the professional development of other teachers and non-teaching staff, including the induction of teachers new to the school.<br \/>\nCo-ordinate or manage the work of the Laboratory Technician, or non-teaching staff when required.<br \/>\nPromote
