Wideway International (Z) Investment Company Ltd is a transportation company based in Nkana West, Kitwe. The company is currently looking for a professional Occupational Health and Safety Officer
\nDuties & Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Promote occupational health and safety within the organisation and develop safer and healthier ways of working
\nAssessing risk and possible safety hazards
\nFocusing on prevention by keeping up with equipment maintenance and employee training
\nConducting investigations on causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions at the place of work, study possible causes and recommend remedial action
\nFinding the best way to prevent future accidents
\nEnsuring that the company meets its safety goals
\nEnsure that PPE such as hearing protection, dust masks, safety glasses, footwear etc is being used in work places according to regulations
\nDevelop occupational health and safety systems, including policies, procedures and manuals
\nConduct inspections and audits as per KPIs<\/p>\n
Key Job Attributes<\/p>\n
Good communication skills
\nExcellent interpersonal skills
\nCertification and experience in First Aid
\nProficiency in Microsoft Suite<\/p>\n
Qualifications\/Experience required<\/p>\n
Minimum of a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from a well recognised Institution
\nOver 3 years experience as a safety officer
\nMembership of relevant safety institute<\/p>\n
