This role is central to ensuring the timely and compliant importation of materials and equipment\u2014primarily from China and South Africa.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nPrepare, process, and manage all import documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, customs declarations, permits, and certificates of origin.<br \/>\nCoordinate with freight forwarders and clearing agents, to ensure efficient shipment and clearance processes.<br \/>\nTrack and monitor incoming shipments and provide regular updates to the procurement and project management teams.<br \/>\nLiaise with Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA), Ministry of Commerce, and other relevant government departments to ensure full compliance with local import regulations.<br \/>\nResolve any issues related to customs clearance, documentation discrepancies, or delays.<br \/>\nMaintain well-organized records and reports of all import activities for audit and regulatory purposes.<br \/>\nStay informed about changes in Zambian import laws, tariffs, and customs procedures.<br \/>\nRequirements:<br \/>\nMinimum 3 years of experience in import\/export logistics.<br \/>\nStrong knowledge of Zambian import procedures and documentation requirements.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with Chinese and South African shipping documentation and logistics practices.<br \/>\nExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and tight deadlines.<br \/>\nStrong communication and coordination skills with both local and international stakeholders.<br \/>\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and standard logistics\/documentation systems.<br \/>\nKnowledge of ASYCUDA World and interaction with ZRA systems is an added advantage.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
