Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Ensure Health and Safety standards, Regulations and Procedures are always adhered to.
\nParticipate in safety meetings.
\nEnsure that machinery is maintained to the highest standards.
\nCarry out machinery services and preventive maintenance of high quality to avoid breakdowns.
\nRespond promptly to breakdowns to reduce downtime.
\nEnsure that all necessary parts and materials are available when needed.
\nEnsure tools are available for the team and kept in good condition.
\nEnsure quality of work is inspected before dispatching.
\nEnsuring compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards
\nReport all incidents immediately to the Supervisor.
\nComply with all incident reporting and hazard identification policies.
\nTo promote the culture of safety, quality & efficiency.
\nCarry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.<\/p>\n

Knowledge of Safety Standards
\nSkilled in Earthmoving Equipment Repairs
\nKnowledge of the use of parts and service manuals
\nFundamentals of Electricity Knowledge
\nFundamentals Hydraulics Knowledge
\nExcellent people Management Skills and team Building
\nGood communication skills with supervisory experience
\nProblem Solving and analytical skills (After failure analysis)
\nCost Awareness<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
Grade 12 Certificate
\nMinimum of an Advanced Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair
\nDiploma in Heavy Equipment Repair\/Mechanical engineering from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
\nMinimum experience of 3 years on heavy equipment machinery in a mining environment.
\nValid driver\u2019s license.
\nPracticing Member of EIZ.<\/p>\n
