\nWorking in Zambia since 1996, Plan International Zambia\u2019s development and humanitarian programmes focus primarily on Inclusive Quality Education, Skills and Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Early Childhood Development and Gender Responsive Child Protection. Child protection is key in all that we do. Plan International Zambia has Programme Areas (PAs) in; Central, Luapula, and Eastern Provinces including in Lusaka, where the Country Office is located.
\nPlan International\u00a0Zambia\u00a0is seeking to hire a\u00a0Project Manager. The purpose of the Project Manager\u00a0is to manage project and programme planning, implementation, monitoring, financial management, resource mobilization, people management and capability building to ensure program quality and effectiveness throughout the project cycle while building capabilities to deliver on program excellence.\u00a0\u00a0The role reports to\u00a0the\u00a0Programme Area Manager\u00a0to be\u00a0based\u00a0in Central Programme Area Office, in Kabwe.

\nDo you have what it takes to be successful in this role?
\nEssential<\/p>\n
Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Social Work, Project Management or similar field.
\n5 years relevant experience working with marginalized communities especially girls
\nProven experiences and ability to coordinate and collaborate with different civil society and Community based organization.
\nProject Management and Planning
\nProven ability to develop project proposals and concepts
\nExcellent networking and partnership building skills
\nResearch, analytical and problem-solving skills
\nDemonstrates clear respect to all and especially children without discrimination<\/p>\n
Desirable:<\/p>\n
Knowledge of key programme areas such as child protection, education, livelihood and economic empowerment.
\nKnowledge of development and humanitarian issues affecting girls, adolescent girls and women is preferred.
