The ideal candidate will support both irrigation operations and general facility electrical needs, ensuring all systems run efficiently and safely.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<br \/>\nInstall, wire, and maintain centre pivot irrigation systems, including pivot wiring and electrical troubleshooting.<br \/>\nConfigure, install, and maintain Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) for pump and motor controls.<br \/>\nAssemble, wire, test, and repair electrical panels and control systems.<br \/>\nPerform general electrical works on buildings, equipment, lighting, and other infrastructure.<br \/>\nDiagnose faults and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.<br \/>\nInterpret and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.<br \/>\nCarry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections on all electrical systems.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations and electrical standards.<br \/>\nMaintain clear and accurate maintenance logs and reports.<br \/>\nCollaborate with operations teams to schedule and prioritize electrical work.<br \/>\nQualifications &amp; Experience:<br \/>\nGrade 12 Certificate.<br \/>\nMinimum Craft Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.<br \/>\nMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience in irrigation electrical systems with a focus on centre pivots and pivot wiring.<br \/>\nExperience with VSD programming, installation, and maintenance.<br \/>\nProficient in general electrical works, including installations, fault finding, and repairs.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with motor control systems, electrical protection devices, and wiring standards.<br \/>\nValid electrical practicing license (where applicable).<br \/>\nKey Competencies:<br \/>\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.<br \/>\nGood understanding of electrical safety practices.<br \/>\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.<br \/>\nStrong organizational and time management skills.<br \/>\nPhysically fit and comfortable working in agricultural\/outdoor settings.<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
