Role Description
\nAt KEB Shop, the shop attendant is responsible for creating a positive and pleasant shopping experience for customers while maintaining the store\u2019s efficiency and operations.
\nEducational Requirements and attributes<\/p>\n
Full Grade twelve Certificate
\nCertificate in Marketing and sales will be an added advantage.
\nExperience in the sales, ideally in a cosmetic shop or salon would be an advantage
\nExcellent attention to detail, problem solving, ability to work well with others
\nStrong persuasive and communication skills
\nPatient and able to remain calm under pressure
\nAbility to use initiative
\nCustomer service skills.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Customer Service: Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner. Providing product information, answering questions, and helping customers find the items they need.
\nSales: Actively promoting products and services to increase sales. Suggesting complementary items, upselling, and cross \u2013 selling to enhance the customer\u2019s shopping experience.
\nCash Handling: Processing transactions, handling payments, and providing accurate change. Operating cash registers, handling mobile payments, or other payment systems.
\nStocking Shelves:\u00a0Replenishing merchandise on the sales floor to maintain adequate stock levels. Ensuring products are neatly displayed and organized.
\nMerchandising: Arranging and displaying products to attract customers and highlight promotions or new items effectively.
\nInventory Management: Assisting with inventory counts and reporting discrepancies to management. Ensuring products are properly labeled with prices and information.
\nHandling Complaints:\u00a0Addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner. Finding solutions to resolve issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
\nCleaning and Maintenance:\u00a0Keeping the store clean, tidy, and organized. Performing routine cleaning tasks to create a pleasant shopping environment.
\nProduct Knowledge: Staying informed about product features, specifications, and benefits to provide accurate information to customers.
\nSecurity: Monitoring the store for potential theft or shoplifting and reporting any suspicious activities to security or management.
\nRestocking:\u00a0Unpacking and stocking merchandise received from suppliers in the storage area and restocking it on the sales floor.
\nOpening and Closing Duties: Preparing the store for opening and securing it at the end of the day. This may involve tasks like cash reconciliation, turning off lights, and setting the alarm.
\nTelephone and Online Support: Answering phone calls and assisting customers with inquiries or orders placed online.
\nPromotions and Events:\u00a0Assisting with in-store promotions, sales events, and product launches.
\nAny other duties may be assigned.<\/p>\n
