We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic candidate for the role outlined below.<br \/>\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 GROUP MARKETING MANAGER (X1) LUSAKA<br \/>\nOverview<br \/>\nAs the Group Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for crafting and executing high-impact marketing strategies across multiple divisions and subsidiaries. You will lead a team of marketing professionals, manage budgets, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure consistent brand positioning and maximum ROI on all marketing initiatives.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities<br \/>\n1. Develop and Communicate Marketing Strategies &amp; Budgets<\/p>\n<p>Formulate comprehensive marketing strategies and budgets in line with overall business goals.<br \/>\nPresent and secure alignment and sign-off from relevant stakeholders.<br \/>\nOversee the implementation of approved plans, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely execution.<\/p>\n<p>2. Market Research &amp; Insights (R&amp;I)<\/p>\n<p>Establish best practices for gathering and analyzing market intelligence on customers, channels, categories, and competitors.<br \/>\nTranslate insights into localized brand strategies and implementation plans across all media and touchpoints.<br \/>\nProvide expert guidance on marketing and promotional tactics to drive growth and competitive advantage.<\/p>\n<p>3. Strategy Implementation &amp; Budget Management<\/p>\n<p>Lead the end-to-end execution of marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and corporate objectives.<br \/>\nManage trade and consumer marketing budgets, maximizing ROI and achieving cost efficiencies.<br \/>\nContinuously evaluate campaign performance, adapting tactics to optimize results.<\/p>\n<p>4. Multi-Channel Marketing Management<\/p>\n<p>Oversee marketing activities for the entire product portfolio across diverse channels<br \/>\nEnsure brand consistency and effectiveness in each channel, driving both revenue and brand equity.<\/p>\n<p>5. New Product Development &amp; Launches<\/p>\n<p>Spearhead the promotion of new product development and packaging initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams.<br \/>\nPlan and execute product launch strategies to achieve rapid market penetration and strong consumer adoption.<\/p>\n<p>6. Campaign Delivery &amp; Brand Growth<\/p>\n<p>Drive the swift execution of new marketing campaigns across the various media platforms.<br \/>\nIncrease cross-segment product visibility and enhance key brand metrics such as awareness, preference, equity, and share of voice.<\/p>\n<p>7. Collaboration with Divisions &amp; Subsidiaries<\/p>\n<p>Partner with individual divisions to develop and implement tailored marketing and advertising strategies.<br \/>\nOffer strategic guidance and support to ensure cohesive, high-impact campaigns across all business units.<br \/>\nCollaborate with cross functional teams to create a Marketing Center of Excellence (CoE) that develops, implements, and maintains best practices, standards, and processes for marketing activities.<\/p>\n<p>8. Event &amp; Sponsorship Management<\/p>\n<p>Oversee the company\u2019s presence at trade shows, conferences, and other key industry events.<br \/>\nWork closely with Corporate Affairs to ensure a consistent brand image and impactful engagement.<\/p>\n<p>9. Agency &amp; Vendor Management<\/p>\n<p>Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with third-party service providers.<br \/>\nEnsure all partners align with the overall marketing strategy and deliver high-quality, on-brand work.<\/p>\n<p>10. Media Relations &amp; Corporate Communications<\/p>\n<p>Lead the implementation of media-relations strategies to foster positive coverage and enhance corporate goodwill.<br \/>\nCollaborate with executive leadership to ensure brand reputation and messaging are consistently upheld.<\/p>\n<p>11. Team Leadership &amp; Development<\/p>\n<p>Direct and mentor an effective marketing team, fostering professional growth and high performance.<br \/>\nEncourage a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the marketing function.<\/p>\n<p>12. Additional Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Undertake other duties as may be assigned, ensuring alignment with the role\u2019s objectives and the organization\u2019s strategic direction.<\/p>\n<p>Desired Competencies &amp; Skills<\/p>\n<p>Strategic Thinking &amp; Vision: ability to develop and articulate long-term marketing strategies that align with corporate goals.<br \/>\nLeadership &amp; People Management: proven track record in building and managing high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.<br \/>\nAnalytical &amp; Data-Driven Approach: skilled in interpreting market data, consumer insights, and campaign metrics to inform decision-making.<br \/>\nCommunication &amp; Stakeholder Management: excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at presenting to senior leadership and collaborating across functions.<br \/>\nInnovation &amp; Creativity: ability to drive new ideas, challenge the status quo, and inspire creative solutions to marketing challenges.<br \/>\nBudgeting &amp; Financial Acumen: proficient in managing large marketing budgets and optimizing spending to maximize ROI.<br \/>\nProject Management: strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.<br \/>\nDigital Marketing Proficiency: knowledge of current digital marketing tools, trends, and best practices, with a focus on omnichannel strategies.<br \/>\nNegotiation &amp; Vendor Management: experience in managing third-party agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality outputs and cost efficiencies.<br \/>\nFMCG Market Knowledge: deep understanding of FMCG dynamics, including distribution channels, trade marketing, and consumer behaviour.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/p>\n<p>Minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (Master\u2019s degree preferred).<br \/>\n10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the FMCG sector.<br \/>\nDemonstrated success in managing multi-brand portfolios, executing product launches, and driving brand growth.<br \/>\nProficiency in marketing analytics tools and a track record of data-driven decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing is Caring!
