\nJob Overview
\nWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Officer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating credit applications, assessing creditworthiness, managing loan portfolios, and ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and procedures. This role requires a solid understanding of credit risk analysis within the fintech ecosystem, as well as strong analytical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Assess and process loan applications using credit scoring models and manual review techniques.
\nConduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessments for new and existing clients.
\nRecommend appropriate credit limits and loan terms.
\nMonitor and manage loan portfolios, flagging and addressing any early warning signs of credit deterioration.
\nCollaborate with the collections team to ensure effective recovery strategies for delinquent accounts.
\nEnsure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards in all credit operations.
\nPrepare credit reports and maintain accurate client records.
\nSupport the development and refinement of credit policies and procedures.
\nProvide customer support on credit-related inquiries.<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Skills<\/p>\n
Diploma\/ Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
\nAt least 2 years of experience in credit analysis, loan processing, or related roles, preferably within a fintech or financial services company.
\nStrong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
\nExcellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, IF statements, PivotTables), and data analysis tools.
\nFamiliarity with credit scoring systems, financial analysis, and risk evaluation tools.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\nAbility to work independently and in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
\nProficiency in using loan management systems and MS Office applications.<\/p>\n
