About One Acre Fund
\nFounded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa\u2019s farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. \nIn Zambia, our focus is on agroforestry. We provide farmers with a package of different tree varieties providing farmers with a range of benefits including improved soil fertility. In the longer term, we also plan to help farmers generate income through the carbon credit market. We are headquartered in Kabwe and operate in the Central Province and parts of Southern Province where most people rely on agriculture for their livelihoods. \nAbout the Role
\nWe are currently seeking a professional to join our team as a Retention Coordinator to be based in Kabwe. As the Retention Coordinator, you will help understand and improve farmer retention across our program. You will be responsible for analyzing the farmer journey\u2014from enrolment to planting\u2014to identify the reasons why farmers disengage or drop out. Using this insight, you will collaborate with field and other program teams to design and implement data-driven strategies that improve farmer experience, increase retention, and contribute to long-term program impact and sustainability.
\nResponsibilities
\nFarmer Journey Mapping & Insights
\nCapture farmer journeys from registration to qualification each season to understand drop-out trends, rates, and reasons.
\nConduct qualitative farmer surveys to understand the factors influencing farmers\u2019 decisions to join, drop, pause, or continue with the program.
\nConduct retention-focused surveys to gather farmer perceptions and experiences related to products and services.
\nData Tracking, Reporting & Analysis
\nWork with the data team to develop a comprehensive system to track and resolve farmer complaints through customer-facing teams (hotline, extension).
\nReport on key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of retention strategies.
\nProvide seasonal reports on customer retention metrics to farmer-facing teams and the wider organisation.
\nStrategy Development
\nDevelop and implement targeted strategies to address farmer dissatisfaction and reduce drop-out rates.
\nSet seasonal and long-term retention goals based on historical data, trends, and program impact targets.

\nAcross all roles, these are the\u00a0general qualifications we look for.\u00a0For this role specifically, you will have:<\/p>\n
Degree in any Social Science
\n2+ years of experience working in client-focused behaviour change programs, community development, or rural outreach.
\nExperience in qualitative and quantitative research and ability to design and conduct surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions
\nStrong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and cross-team coordination
\nProficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.<\/p>\n
