We specialize in layer farming, focusing on both pullet rearing and high-efficiency egg production to meet local market demands. We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Poultry Layer Supervisor to lead our layer operations.
\nPosition Summary:
\nThe Poultry Layer Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day management of pullet rearing and egg production. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining bird health, optimizing feed and production efficiency, supervising staff, and ensuring that biosecurity and animal welfare standards are met.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n1.\u00a0Pullets Management:<\/p>\n
Supervise rearing from day-old chicks to point of lay
\nEnsure optimal brooding, feeding, vaccination, and growth performance
\nMonitor mortality, weight gain, and uniformity
\nImplement and maintain biosecurity measures<\/p>\n
2.\u00a0Layer Flock Supervision:<\/p>\n
Oversee transition of pullets into the laying house
\nMonitor egg production, feed conversion, and laying percentages
\nManage egg collection, grading, and recording
\nReduce production losses through proper disease prevention and early detection<\/p>\n
3. Staff Supervision:<\/p>\n
Train and supervise farm workers on best poultry practices
\nAllocate daily tasks and ensure SOPs are followed
\nMaintain accurate records of bird performance and farm activities<\/p>\n
4. Resource and Farm Management:<\/p>\n
Ensure availability of feed, vaccines, and essential supplies
\nMaintain clean housing and ensure proper ventilation and lighting
\nPrepare reports on performance, mortality, and production targets<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience:<\/p>\n
Certificate or Diploma in Animal Science, Livestock Production, or related field
\nMinimum 3 years hands-on experience in pullet rearing and egg production supervision
\nStrong knowledge of poultry diseases, vaccinations, and feeding regimes
\nExcellent leadership, communication, and record-keeping skills
\nFamiliarity with biosecurity and animal welfare regulations
\nAbility to work under pressure and meet production targets<\/p>\n
