{"id":3477,"date":"2025-05-20T16:00:21","date_gmt":"2025-05-20T16:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/job\/assistant-accountant-at-kasisi-agricultural-training-center\/"},"modified":"2025-08-14T00:14:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-14T00:14:09","slug":"assistant-accountant-at-kasisi-agricultural-training-center","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/zambia\/?post_type=job_listing&p=3477","title":{"rendered":"Assistant Accountant at Kasisi Agricultural Training Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Purpose of the job:\u00a0To assist in the effective management of the organisation\u2019s financial resources<br \/>\nResponsibilities:<br \/>\nEnsure petty cash management and reconciliation<br \/>\nEnsure monthly Bank Reconciliation<br \/>\nEnsure preparation of payment vouchers<br \/>\nEnsure proper receipting of funds<br \/>\nEnsure all transactions are properly posted<br \/>\nEnsure proper custody of all accountable documents<br \/>\nGenerate financial reports<br \/>\nInitiate dunning process<br \/>\nGenerate reports on fuel usage<br \/>\nDuties:<br \/>\nPrepare the books of Accounts in accordance with acceptable Accounting Standards<br \/>\nContribute to the preparation financial statements in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards<br \/>\nPrepare payment vouchers and receipt the funds based on the established internal controls procedures<br \/>\nParticipate in the preparation of management accounts and budgets<br \/>\nPrepare the Bank and petty cash reconciliations<br \/>\nBe the custodian of all the accountable documents<br \/>\nStock control<br \/>\nManagement of fixed assets Register<br \/>\nTeam player and faithful person<br \/>\nTake on any other duties as may be assigned by the accountant<br \/>\nQualifications\/experience\/requirements:<br \/>\nProfessional accounting qualification e.g., National Accounting Technician or equivalent<br \/>\nAt least two years experience in a similar position<br \/>\nComputer literacy \u2013 Microsoft Office and Pastel<br \/>\nSelf motivated and reliable<br \/>\nHonest and trustworthy<br \/>\nWilling to work long hour at peak times<br \/>\nTeam player<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
