The Role:
\nAs Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective running of our fuel distribution depot. You will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with industry regulations, manage a team of drivers and yard staff, and maintain high standards of service delivery.
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Conduct risk assessments and ensure that all changes on site are carried out in line with the company\u2019s Management of Change (MOC) guidelines.
\nEnsure accurate depot\u2019s HSSEQ reports are shared with the stakeholders promptly.
\nEnsure the depots meet the HSSEQ KPIs: Zero Fatalities\/LTIs, Zero Spillages with environmental impact, Zero Occupational illness & Zero VMIs
\nEnsure depot equipment is maintained in optimal and safe working condition.
\nConduct planned and unplanned depot inspections and audits.
\nEnsure the depot meets its statutory compliance requirements
\nEnsure operational staff are properly motivated and competent to discharge their responsibilities through: SMART Objective settings, Performance reviews, Identifying Training needs, Rewarding of exceptional performers & enforcement of disciplinary action where necessary.
\nEnsure staff overtime is maintained within management\u2019s approved limit.
\nEnsure staff have the necessary tools required to discharge their duties, i.e., transport, meals, PPE, computers, phones, etc.
\nEnsure the depot stock variances are kept within the company\u2019s management limits.
\nEnsure accurate daily stock reports are shared with the stakeholders promptly.
\nEnsure the stock levels are maintained within the management\u2019s approved min-max limits
\nEnsure depot stock movements are carried out as per management\u2019s approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).
\nEnsure excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
\nDevelop and manage the depot\u2019s budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and expenses are minimized.<\/p>\n
Experience & Education:<\/p>\n
Degree qualification in Engineering, Logistics, Business, Transport Management, Operations, or Supply Chain, or a related field.
\nKnowledgeable in ISO 9001, 14001, & 45001 standards, Lead Auditor qualification will be an advantage.
\nAt least 5 years\u2019 work experience in Operations Management at the Supervisory level.
\nOil and Gas industry exposure is advantageous.
\nProject Management knowledge is advantageous.<\/p>\n

\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
\nKnowledge of fuel distribution or dangerous goods handling.
\nExcellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
\nStrong understanding of compliance, good governance, and HSSEQ principles.
\nAbility to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
\nFull Zambian driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
