Job Description
\nEnsure a profitable card business through timely reconciliation of cards payments accounts and resolution of open items involving cards transactions
\nReporting Relationships:
\nFunctionally reports to Team Lead, Card Operations
\nRole and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Perform daily\/monthly reconciliation and settlements for Visa\/MasterCard credit cards transactions.
\nEnsure that Cards Transactions are settled within 24 hours in line with SLA with the business units
\nEnsure the integrity of settlement billings
\nInvestigate and process credit cards chargebacks
\nEnsure daily call over of uploads into cards payment accounts for completeness and accuracy
\nEnsure daily reconciliation of cards payment accounts for risk assessment
\nEnsure daily proof of cards payments GL accounts
\nDrive resolution of open items in cards settlement accounts in accordance with the bank\u2019s zero tolerance policy
\nLiaison with other units and transaction owners with a view to clearing open items
\nAny other function that may be assigned to you from time to time.<\/p>\n
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<\/p>\n
Timeliness of E Banking transactions settlement in line with SLA
\nCompliance with bank\u2019s approved operational risk policies and procedures evidenced by audit rating
\nEffectiveness in handling open items in cards payment accounts as measured by no. of items in excess of agreed lifespan.
\nTimeliness and quality of reconciliation and proof of accounts reports<\/p>\n
Key Competency Requirements
\nKnowledge:<\/p>\n
Good knowledge and understanding of banking operations
\nKnowledge of Card Relevant accounting activities related to Cards Accounting entries on Visa\/ MasterCard, Other banks, Head Office etc. related transaction
\nKnowledge in Chargeback activities<\/p>\n
Key Skills:<\/p>\n
Communication skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills
\nReasoning Skills: Excellent analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
\nComputer Skills
\nProblem solving skills.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements
\nEducation Requirements<\/p>\n
A minimum of a credit in first degree: Business, Finance & Banking or Accounting or any other related field
\n\u00a0Full Grade Twelve School Certificate with five (5) Credits including English and Mathematics
\nZAQA verified certificates<\/p>\n
Experience
\nMinimum requisite experience \u2013 2 years\u2019 relevant experience in relevant areas<\/p>\n
