Specializing in Construction, Education, and Healthcare, we are dedicated to driving sustainable development.<br \/>\n\u2014<br \/>\nThe Role:<br \/>\nThe Construction Manager will oversee the construction of specific projects by the company as well as running project specific design, meetings with the engineering team and project management meetings on behalf of the company with sub-contractors and clients as may be required.<br \/>\nKey activities and responsibilities:<br \/>\nWork in conjunction with the Lead Project Manager, Head of Operations, Head of Contracts and Engineering teams to perform the following but not limited to:<br \/>\n\u2013 Internal and external reporting and meetings on project progress.<br \/>\n\u2013 Other responsibilities for project delivery including Project Programme management throughout all periods of the project.<br \/>\n\u2013 Assistance with project design review process.<br \/>\n\u2013 Overseeing project construction to ensure design, quality and health and safety, reporting and documentation standards are met including living on or near site for the majority of the construction period.<br \/>\n\u2013 Overseeing project commissioning, completion and project close out phases, including review of final documentation.<br \/>\n\u2013 Management processes and policies.<br \/>\nREQUIREMENTS<br \/>\n\u2013 Significant experience with design \/ build contracts from ground up that result in profitable construction projects.<br \/>\n\u2013 Strong understanding of financial models and management of budgeting cash flow.<br \/>\n\u2013 Excellent communication skills both oral and written.<br \/>\n\u2013 Extensive experience making day to day decisions at construction site.<br \/>\n\u2013 Awareness of Zambian and International standards in terms of operation and regulatory.<br \/>\n\u2013 Familiarity with Construction, education and Medical Industries is an added advantage.<br \/>\n\u2013 Strong interpersonal skills; team player attitude.<br \/>\n\u2013 Ability to help build and strengthen an organization, building structure over time.<br \/>\n\u2013 Strong computer skills, including strength in MS Project, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.<br \/>\n\u2013 Some Chinese proficiency will be an added advantage<br \/>\nSharing is Caring!
