\nHealth & Safety Officer
\nYalelo Ltd seeks to hire an experienced and qualified Health & Safety Officer who will be responsible for implementing the Yalelo Ltd Health and Safety Management Systems and ensure that there is a safe working environment in the workplace for employees and other interested parties.
\nThe Right Fit candidate will :<\/p>\n
Maintain & Monitor the OHS Management System.
\nConduct and document Hazard Identification, Risk Analysis, and management on site.
\nEnsure Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Legal register is in place and timely updated by maintaining and documenting compliance to all safety regulations on site.
\nImplement the OHS system in the organisation and conducts daily inspections to monitor compliance.
\nInduct contractor\/Visitor as well as safety monitoring and management on site.
\nImplement and maintain health and safety standards according to establish SOP\u2019s.
\nMonitor, & evaluate OHS goals, targets, and statistics.
\nCompile and maintain relevant SHE registers on updated database.
\nLogs all Health & Safety (H&S) related complaints and makes updates in respective database.
\nChampion OHS Best Practices
\nImplement the change management register.
\nPerform weekly departmental checks on Fire Equipment, Personal
\nProtective Equipment (PPE) adherence, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Contractor checks, permits check etc.
\nPromote safety initiatives through toolbox talks, H&S awareness emails and posters.
\nTrack closure of near misses and safety observations.
\nImplement lessons learnt from all incidents and accidents and shares with all staff, visitors & contracts on site.
\nDeliver Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) training programs and monitors training matrix.
\nImplement safe working techniques.
\nConduct all the required H&S Drills e.g., Fire and Chemical
\nMonitor Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) replenishment, management and use on site.<\/p>\n
Essentials:<\/p>\n
Excellent communication skills
\nStrong problem-solving skills
\nVery sound understanding of Health and Safety Management Systems
\nStrong understanding of laws and regulations governing safety of employees in workplaces<\/p>\n
Qualification:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree\/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
\nManagement, Risk Management, Safety Management, or related discipline
\nTwo (2) minimum relevant work experience.<\/p>\n
