PURPOSE
\nThis exciting opportunity exists in Fraser Alexander Zambia to manage and
\nsupervise the paddocks construction along the perimeter of the Tailings
\nStorage Facilities (TSF). The role involves overseeing all aspects of a paddock
\nconstruction project, ensuring timely completion and adherence to required QAQC specifications. This includes managing staff, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety regulations, and maintaining the quality of work.
\nRESPONSIBILITIES
\nOperate Site (Construction)<\/p>\n
Responsible for the entire construction and operation of the works at the site, ensuring quality and safety requirements are met.
\nExecute the construction plan.
\nWork closely with the client\u2019s TSF Manager to implement the deposition plan and coordinate assigned resources and crew.
\nTake overall charge of ensuring compliance with job-specific specifications.
\nAllocate and schedule resources (plant\/materials\/labour).
\nLiaise with and monitor subcontractors\u2019 work, providing regular reports on status and progress.<\/p>\n
Maintain Safety<\/p>\n
Ensure project and operations compliance with business and client SHEQ systems, as well as legal requirements.
\nEnsure proper housekeeping and provide appropriate PPE.
\nPrevent staff injuries and other incidents.
\nTake corrective measures against all substandard acts and conditions.<\/p>\n
Supervise Staff<\/p>\n
Track performance and production targets.
\nEnsure that staff have the required job skills and arrange for training where gaps are identified.<\/p>\n
Marketing and Client Relationship Management (CRM)<\/p>\n
Build and promote good relationships with clients.
\nUnderstand and keep track of client needs.
\nMonitor the delivery of products and services (quality and quantity) to
\nensure client satisfaction.
\nPromote the image of the company.<\/p>\n
Financial and Cost Control<\/p>\n
Manage and control people-related costs\/allowables.
\nManage and control inventory and consumables-related costs\/allowables.
\nEnsure the timely submission of invoices for payment to clients.
\nFollow up and collect payments from clients.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate
\nDiploma\/Degree in Civil Engineering
\nMRD 101 will be advantageous
\nValid driver\u2019s license.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
At least eight years of relevant experience in earthworks and tailings
\nstorage facility construction.
\nMinimum of three years\u2019 experience in contracting supervision.
\nExperience in planning and setting up TSF projects.<\/p>\n
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED<\/p>\n
English proficiency.
\nMust have an advanced understanding of Decision, Quality, and Problem Solving.
\nMust have an advanced understanding of Collaboration.<\/p>\n
